The vacuum has suction but the floor attachment does not. I have cleaned the clogs from the attachments and it still has no suction. What is wrong?

The hose may have one or more leaks or bad connection. The most common place for a large leak is at the connections to the machine and the connection to the handle.
I've seen some reviews that mention little or no suction when using the floor attachment.

Loud rattling noise and no suction

You have something that's been sucked up into the floor cleaning part of the machine... then clogged it off. Be persistent and you should be able to find it and get it out..

Vacuum not picking up dirt

The neck in your power head is likely clogged. Disconnect from the wand and look inside. Also check the wand.Since you have suction on the bare floor the hose is likely not blocked.

Suction is so light when using attachments will not pick up anyth

If there is no obstructions, its probably the motor has burnt out or shorted, causing loss of suction. Good luck.

Floor attachment does not suction, no clog in the hose, hand held works when dettached from floor attachment

Have you checked the floor head? Use a pipe cleaner or twisted metal to carefully and gently see what's in there. It sounds like dirt or something has definately sealed up the main suction channel.

Bissel Pro Heat Turbo attachment does not work.

Something is probably clogging up the suction.
Try to snake it out with a coat hanger or similar tool.
Often, especially with shedding pets hair will clog the suction pipes
Hope this is helpful.

Good Luck!

Suction loss when handle is tipped back to clean carpet

can any one help,
Our Dyson Animal vacuum has plenty of suction when it is upright and the attachments are being used off the hose, but when the handle is tipped back to begin cleaning carpets the beater head is getting no suction. As the handle is being tipped back you can hear what sounds like a flapper valve in the body of the vacuum opening and then all the suction just goes away.

NO SUCTION ON FLOOR

Dear Thyagie, since you said the cleaning tool attachment is working,I guess that means the cleaning tool attachment still has suction" so theirs a good chance that there is a clog that needs to be cleared and you wont need a new vacuum at this time.

But you will need to try and trace the clog and clear it. I would start with the tube by the roller brush and work my way up from there !
Also check the roller brush and the belt and make sure it's working properly. If your vacuum has a filter make sure it is clean, and of course make sure the vacuum bag is not full.

I hope this helps,EarlsOK

Attachment hose has no suction

Sometimes when you take them apart and
reassemble the vac (the plastic slide doesn't
make full contact with the lever,or it isn;t on
the lever at all) that switches
from the floor to the attachment. IF Tthere
are no clogs in the duct then that the
most likely problem
