Usually if its leaking and you have the same replacement then just reuse the compression nut and furrow and it doesn't hurt to use a little pipe dope or just unscrew the packing nut and change out the the valve stem

There is a leak at the FOOT of my valsir toilet onto the floor what do I do ?

You are going to have to do some investigations...

It could be any of these..
#1 Pan to waste pipe connection
#2 Water flush to pan connection
#3 Cistern to water flush connection
#4 Cold water connection
#5 Cistern overflowing
#6 Condensation

If the cold water valve/washer is faulty then the constant flow of cold water is going to create a lot of condensation.

If the leak only appears after you have flushed the toilet then it is likely to be #1, #2 or #3

Just a matter of elimination..

Bought a tuscany sink faucet and 3/8 supply lines old lnes don't fit valves .seem too big. Do I need new supply lines ?

Hello Ronald G Amann,

The supply lines are many and varied...But unless the wall VALVES are the brand new 1/4 turn BALL VALVES
THERE is an opportunity to make the PERFECT UPGRADE.
(lots of choices here too...).

The are PUSH FIT quick coupling... as well as large supplies of braided flex lines... Simplicity is the key to avoiding FUTURE LEAKS...

Do NOT over-tighten any fittings.
Don't UNDERESTIMATE the effectiveness of the new SHARK-BITE couplings

Toilet tank leaking

Hello David McInnis,

There are Three basic opportunities for leaks from the classic TOILET TANK DESIGN (separate BASE & top-tank)... around the FLAPPER VALVE alone... Typically the flapper valve & two hold-down screws. These CANNOT be repaired without removing the entire tank. GREAT CARE should be used to not FRACTURE
the mated surfaces by OVER-TIGHTENING.

This is a great time to FRESHEN UP all the
Perishable gaskets & seals... and while I NEVER advocate using any ABRASIVES on gloss finishes... Pumas stone seems to be the FINAL TOUCH in a total renewal
(to REMOVE the built up (very unsightly
TOILET BOWL RING...

Amazon com toilet bowl pumice stone

ADDITIONAL PARTS:
- Water fitting to FILL VALVE (compression fitting).
- FILL VALVE through tank (gaskets)
- Flapper Valve base, gaskets & bowl interface ring

TO Make sure all the surfaces are clean an firmly
positioned and it is not LEAKING anywhere... place
clean dry paper on the floor behind the bowl
(under the tank).

EACH/EVERY drop will leave a mark...
Do NOT over-tighten any fittings!!!

If the WALL VALVE is less than NIMBLE... also a great opportunity to UPGRADE TO A QUARTER TURN
BALL VALVE... A little shopping will find you EXACT VALVE CONFIGURATION...

Hope this helps.

I see hose repair parts in house and garden stores. How exactly do they work?

Hi Colleen:
Easy as 1-2-3
1- Cut off the bad fitting
2- Slip the clamp over the hose and push the replacement fitting into the hose
3- Align the clamp and tighten it.

Back to the garden!

I have an Amana ARB2557 that was moved and when hooking up the copper water supply I realized there was no brass nut or sleeve to connect the water to the Refrigerator. I have tried a standard 1/4"...

think your right most likely the fitting is stripped. but if its a plastic hose you need the compression ring the nut and a sleeve to slid in the plastic line. that prevents the plastic line from collapsing and is what the ring compresses to. without that it will leak.

Waterline on back of refridgerator keeps popping out and leaking

There should be a compression fitting that seals the water tube to the fridge. The fitting looks like a brass or plastic nut that the tubing sticks into. Shut off water supply to the fridge and carefully remove the fitting nut...there should be cone shaped compression ring inside the fitting nut. Slide the nut over the tube, then the compression ring over the tube. If the compression ring is tapered towards one end, then put the narrow end towards the end of the tube. Now stick the tube up to the fitting on the fridge where the nut screws on to the fridge. Hold the tubing firmly against the fitting and slide the compression ring and nut up to the fitting and screw the nut back on (compression ring should be inside the nut). You must hold the tubing firmly against the fitting until you get the nut tightened back down good with a wrench. This should take care of it.

If you find that the tip of your tube end is damaged, then you may have to cut off the tip of the tube to get it to seal and hold. If you find that the compression ring is damaged (won't slide over the tubing) or missing, then you can go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get a new nut and compression ring...they are cheap. You can also get new tubing there if you need it.

LEAKING WATER

The plastic line has cracked at the water valve. See this page item 804:

http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=206380&diagram_id=21040526#d21040526

It is a matter of turning off the water supply, removing the attaching nut and compression fitting then cut off the line... transfer the inner sleeve nut and brass outer compression ring to the new hose then reinstall the line onto the water valve. If it is leaking at a water filter connection the repair is the same as above.

Turn on the water supply when you finish.

Thanks for using FixYa.

No water comes out of the wand

First, you must be sitting on it before it will work. Their should be a separate valve for the bidet function, be sure it is turned on. Also check that the seat is installed properly and the quick release "snaps" into place. These are the most common problems if they don't fix it let me know.
