Go to the manufacturers website for the computer and see if they have the driver available for download again. Should be able to get it there if it was a factory installed webcam.

How I replace the webcam in my Emachine E528?

A internal webcam? Are you sure it needs replacing? Test with a webcam program YAWCAM free found here: Install and go to settings select the webcam. This is a good way to test the webcam before you try to replace. You can delete the program when finished. Replacing a webcam in a laptop is a tricky procedure. If it needs replacing, you should use a qualified computer tech.

I deleted my webcam driver and can't figure out out to get it back!

Hi ,
Two ways you could go about this , 1st look and see if you have the webcam program in your computer and do the setup , or you can go to your manf. website and download either the program for your webcam or find the drivers for your computer and reload it that way....Goodluck Roy

Hi I bought a webcam shadow series and it keeps saying make sure that it is not being used by another user, please help

Check if you have any programs running that could be using/locking your webcam. Just close everything you don't need.
If that does not help, you can also try a webcam sharing application, like SplitCam. That makes your webcam available to multiple programs, so never a sharing issue.

Creative webcam

Try downloading an uninstaller
Disconnect your webcam
Close all other programs

Download the free Revo -It will open up displaying all the software loaded on your pc. Double click on your webcam software - Use the 'Advanced' mode - Revo will make a Restore Point and then uninstall using the webcam uninstall software.
It will then scan your C drive and Registry for all fragments and files that failed to uninstall.
Delete everything it finds

My laptop has no webcam

Assuming you have windows:

The driver for the installed webcam will most likely not be deleted, in which case you only need to find another program to display the video. Windows is able to automatically install drivers for connected devices, but not necessarily software to use them. If you can remember the name of the program, you can likely search for that and download it.

I have accidently deleted my webcam programmes, so how can I install back the programmes? My notebook model is Acer Aspire 4935.

If it's a builtin webcam, you can probably download drivers from the Acer site. If it is in warranty, you can probably get a technician to walk you through the procedure over the phone.

If it didn't come with the unit, the best thing to do is to look at "Programs" under the Control Panel and delete (uninstall) everything having to do with the webcam. Then start from scratch, installing it as if it were new. If you don't have the original CD, you may be able to download the equivalent from the manufacturer of the webcam. (For instance, I did that with an older Logitech model recently.)

In any event, if you have valuable photos and footage that you want to save, make a copy of them in a safe place. It's easy for things like that to get accidentally deleted if they are in or close to the directories that contain the webcam programs (as is sometimes the case).

Try finding the file folder for the software, maybe under the c:\programs folder, and run a program called unwise.exe (uninstaller).

Also, try going into the Device Manager and deleting the webcam device.

Webcam model 98067 does not work with Vista

If the problem is with space, please delete data that you no longer need. You can empty the recycle bin, uninstall programs, or remove unwanted or unneeded documents. You can also do the defrag to free some space but you will need to close all other running programs. You can run it by going to Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and finally clicking on the Disk Defragmenter utility. Hope this helps. Thank you.
