There is no safe or affordable way to resurface a popped enamel coating on cookware. Sorry to be the bearer of dire news.

The dark brown enamel has been damaged about 1"square on base of the inside of oven Are there any enamel repair kits?

you can buy enamel white or clear, and mix in pigment to match your colour, most diy stores carry the enamel you could ask them for the pigment as they can maybe get hold of the right color. or by from ebay the pigment.

What's the best way to protect water based enamel paint? I painting a night stand for my daughter and I don't want it to scratch easily. Oil based enamel is more durable but its not an option.

try painting it over with a 2 pack clear epoxy paint
2 pack epoxy paint is about the hardest surface you can get and the clear finish will show the original paint color through
or paint it again using the color in epoxy 2 pack paint

Can I repaint a steel enamel finished sink? Has been scratched by clumsy wife!!

Yes you can. they make several products for this at the harware stores. You said enamel but are you refering to porcelain? To do the repair you will need porcelain repair compound and some high-gloss, alkyd-base paint that matches the color of the porcelain. if it is simply enamel then just match the color or repaint the whole sink using enamled paint. what you have to watch and worry about is if the repaired section will be contantly wet, if water gets under the paint it will bubble and flake off and make a mess. So the answer is yes but it may not be worth the trouble.

When i turn the microwave on it has electrical short it is like there is something metal inside and everything still works what causes the electical flash

The interior of the microwave is insulated with an industrial white enamel paint to prevent the magnetron from arcing on the inside, some of the enamel has worn off exposing metal,or the magnetron is shorting, either way this is very unsafe to use and should be checked quickly, and left unplugged in the process.

Yes there is microwave proof enamel paint, or so they sell it as.

Microwave enamel wearing away

It will have to be sanded smooth and clean and dried thoroughly.

Then you can apply some high-temperature appliance paint, available from places like Wal-Mart, Lowe's or Builder's Square.

Enamel should work, but appliance paint is better.
