Try taking it to a machine shop and see if they can bend it back, my husband was able to straighten mine ( he is a machinist and has the tools). Or else you can try sears parts direct. Make sure that it really bent and not your needle. Last resort, take it to a repair shop if all else fails. Good luck, I know the feeling.

My Kenmore Sewing Machine Model #1217 Wont wind Bobbin

These are durable machines. Suggest removing the top and inspect the bobbin winder. The winder tire may have failed and need to be replaced.

If the tire is intact confirm that the shaft is free to turn and does not require lubrication.

Two screws secure the top and will require removing to access the winder.

It is douhtful that the hardware has failed.

Hope this helps?

The needle is hitting the bobbin case on my kenmore sewing machine 385.1884180

Have you tried installing a brand-new needle? If the current needle is bent or damaged, it could be why it is hitting the bobbin case. If a new needle does not take care of the issue, you may need to take it for service.

Clutch knob on kenmore 15814001 sewing machine will not tighten

Have you removed the inner wheel? If so you probably have put clutch spring in backwards. The washer like piece has to bent fingers that appear to fit in the center of the shaft. These should be facing out toward the tightening nut. Turn washer around and voila good to go.

Needle position displacement

From your limited description I believe your needle shaft has been bent. try straightening the shaft so the needle again goes down the hole it's supposed to.

Needle displacement

With the limited information you've provided I would say your needle shaft is bent. I've straightened needle shafts out by hand in the past.Good Luck!

Singer 8280 will not zig zag

If your machine has been sitting and not being used, try oil and taking a hair dryer to your needle shaft. This may free it up so that you can adjust your width and length. Another thing could be that your needle shaft is bent. I hope that the hair dryer does the trick for you.

Bent shaft

Please do not rate this as it is only an advisory. Your machine was dropped during shipping and the top shaft is bent. The only way to truly repair this is to replace the top shaft which should only be done by a qualified technician. Since it was shipped and it was damaged by the shippers they should be willing to repair or replace your machine.
The other way is to take it to a tech who is willing to try and straighten the shaft. It will never be perfectly true again but it can be better.
I really like the first way better as it is a permanent solution.
