It is probably ruined especially if you tried to turn it on before it was completely dry. Let it dry for several days and try again. If it doesn't give the post screen and you cannot get to the BIOS, then it is history I'm afraid.
There could be a lot of unrepairable damage not only to the motherboard but the disk drive. Sorry for your problem.

Keeps beeping at boot

beeping in some computer is a factory installed indicator for a malfunctioning part on your computer. One possible issue on your laptop is a stuck key on one of your keyboard keys. Have your keyboard keys checked. If the issue is in relation with the universal charger, the laptop may not be recognizing it at first boot due to incompatibility with your laptop or the charger itself is damaged. Have them checked by a local technician to avoid further damage.

My DELL D630 beeps 6 times at startup and proceeds to boot up successfully. After bootup the keyboard does not work at all. However the touchpad and works fine and I am able to perform all those actions...

Grab a USB keyboard and plug it up to the laptop to see if it works. If it does type in windows then its hardware problem if not its a software problem.
How I check to see if this is hardware problem:
Those Beeps are a series or sequence of beep codes called Bios beep codes they usually point to Memory sticks or Keyboard. Here is a website that I use to help determine what the beeps mean.
http://www.bioscentral.com/postcodes/dellbios.htm
Remove battery and unplug power adaptor!
Try this! Page 22 is the first memory stick ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_laptop/esuprt_latitude_laptop/latitude-d630_service%20manual_en-us.pdf
easy to get to. Take the memory out . power up the laptop listen for beeps. It should say the system memory has been changed f1 to continue. Let it load up and test your if keyboard has issue. power down the laptop and power it back up listen for beep again. If the same thing power laptop down. Place back the memory that you took out and go to page 19 to remove keyboard. The Second piece of memory is underneath the keyboard. Remove that then power down the laptop and restart it again. Listen to beep again for change for it will get the same message that the system memory has been change let it load up and power it down and restart it again. If the keyboard doesnt work then you know its the keyboard now.

My acer aspitre 5733Z makes a loud beeping noise on a black screen and won't stop until i shut it off? I tried disconnecting the battery but its not that?

First, try removing the battery and unplugging the laptop. While still unplugged and with the battery still out, press the power button for 30 seconds or so (this will release the static electricity inside). Then put the battery back in and start it up again. This is called a hard reset, and it will fix a number of problems.

Accidentaly spalshed some water on my laptop keyboard.

You may have to replace your keyboard at best. As this can be a difficult process depending on the laptop, I recommend a trained professional.
The loud beeping noise is called a beep code. One beep in most causes is a DRAM failure, which could mean that the problem goes deeper than a few messed up keys.
However once electronics become water damaged they are beyond repair. The minute amount of minerals in the water is enough to short out the tiny circuits in the keyboard and cause malfunction.

Sounds like the key is stuck. You will have to remove the keypad to check the switch underneath.

Beeping Sound While Booting

could you check that the time is correct when you next boot up, as sometimes a beep on startup can indicate a cmos problem, as you may have a flat cmos battery on the motherboard, and the system will keep losing the saved settings.

Laptop amkes a beep sound but doesn't boot

Hi Saniple, more than likely those are beep codes and should give us an idea of what is going on. Typically there is a specific pattern of long and short beeps. If you can identify them for us we can start the troubleshooting process
