Question about Blaupunkt Car Audio & Video

Open Question

Hi, I have a Blaupunkt Woodstock DAB 53 car stereo. I havent owned this car for long so I'm still unfamiliar with the stereo an its various settings. I had it set up the way I like it however, it was in the garage for a service and when I got it back there have been changes made to my settings. I was able to return most of the settings to my preference, however tehre is a beep that I hear at random times when listening to the radio. It is present on all radio stations. I would like to know how to get rid of this beep as it is very annoying. It is the same beep that you hear when setting the stereo up, fgor example storing a radio station.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: jvc car cd/radio

The radio was improperly installed; there are two 12V leads, one services the radio when on, the other, only the circuitry for the clock and presets.
Eventually, this shouldn't be needed if the manufacturers ever think about using a little bit of flash memory for the presets and a coin cell for the clock.

You didn't give any model number so researching the manual is impossible.
If you can find the model number, look for a user's (or installation) guide on line to find the wiring info.

SOURCE: Setting the reset stations on a DAB radio

I used lateral thinking! looked at the instructions for my other matsui DAB radio and worked it out from there. With this Ferguson model you have to find the station you want manually and then press one of the preset buttons (it only has 4 but these are enough for me)

SOURCE: stereo stations wont stay set

If you have a yellow wire that is the memery wire. It needs to be hooked to a constant hot. If you do not have one you need to get a new plug for the back.

SOURCE: blaupunkt woodstock 54 has a mind of its own...

Hi

Ive got the same unit & they can be a bit unpredictable.Theres a way around it as the unit facilitates a 'NORMSET' feature which allows the user to reset the unit to basic settings as when it was first taken out of the box.
Also the sd card you use can only be 1gb or less & has to be formatted in 16kb through windows XP or Vista.
If you want to know more get back to me & I will talk you through it,it sounds like the units been corrupted by a sd card that wasn't formatted correctly as this happened to mine but now is sorted.
The WOODSTOCK Range aren't made anymore, the latest version is the NASHVILLE,and I was advised that my unit may have had to go back to Germany for reprogramming as no-one really knows about them in the UK.
However I sought advice and problem was rectified.

Intermittent bleeping on tuned - in -stations

You have the traffic updates on - I'm not sure the traffic function has ever really worked on the 52 but turn it off and you should lose the annoying beep. As an interesting but annoying aside, you won't find this info on the Blaupunkt FAQ page searching under 'beep' because they describe the noise as a 'peep'... go figure!

Peugeot sterio code

You need to ring the Peugeot Dealers, as I had that problem with my Nissan radio on my Nissan. The dealers were able to immediately provide me with the right code to input and radio has worked no problem since. When I disconnect battery I always need to re-input the same code.
If your Blaupunkt wasn't Manufacturer fitted, then whoever of your previous owners who fitted the stereo would have the code, or have you tried Blaupunkt themselves, don't know if they keep codes?
