Question about HP Photosmart D7360 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

After getting a message from the printer (HP D7360) indicating the yellow ink cartridge needed to be replaced, I installed a new yellow (02) ink cartridge. I recieved the same message after replacing the ink cartridge. I replaced it with another new yellow ink cartridge. Got the same message. Printer will not allow printing in color until all cartridges have sufficient ink. The cartridge in the printer now does have ink in it. I tried following the following "FixYa" suggestion but to no avail. TheSelkie Rank: Guru Rating: 86%, 58 Votes Assuming you were careful to take off the little strip of cellophane tape that protects the ink from coming out of the cartridge, then I suggest you open a document and type a few words and choose ONLY yellow as the color. It will either activate the cartridge or you'll know that you have a sensor/software problem and not a hardware problem. Any other suggestions?

Ink system failure error telling me to refer to printer documentation error 0xc18a006

Hello,

The "Ink system failure" error is caused by air in the ink feed tubes, this happens if you use poorly filled cartridges or allow you cartridge to run all the way out. We have a step by step guide to purge the ink feed tubes posted on our web site at: http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/category/printer-repair/hp-printer-repair/ This should get your printer back going in about 10 minutes.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

Ink system failure

have you unpluged it from the outlet? can you see any paper stuck?
otherwise you have a bad system board and would cost more to fix than just to by a new one.

HP support decided it could not be repaired on line, agreed to replace it but found it was a few days out of waranty...so it is dead in the water. Probably not cost effective to repair it.
