Question about Moen 7065ORB Vestige Single-Handle Kitchen Faucet with Side Spray Oil Rubbe...

1 Answer

I have a Moen Faucet I believe a 7065 with a separate spout, lever handle and side spray. I take off the cap and go to remove the Allen screw but it will not turn or come out. My faucet has the water trickling out and I think needs to be cleaned

If the allen screw will not turn I would put an allen wrench into it and lightly tap it a few times with a hammer, the smaller the better. If the allen screw is stripped I would get a set of easy outs from the Home Depot or other store and use the smallest one to ease the screw out. An easy out works in reverse to the threads in order to get the screw to back out of the hole.

How can you remove a 7560w spray head?

  • Take out the plug button on the front side of the faucet handle and loosen the set screw with your Allen wrench, then pull off the handle. Remove the domed cap underneath the handle by unscrewing it.
  • Take off the entire spout by removing the mounting hardware under the base and lifting the spout up and off the faucet. The hose will be attached underneath the counter. Once you unscrew the connector, the spray head can be removed.

I have a single lever Moen faucet where the handle is very loose and there is no button on the back side that would reveal an allen key, so I cannot tell how to tighten it back up. What should I do?

On almost all moen single handle faucets there is no allen set screw to hold handle on. They are secured by a screw located under Moen emblem in the center of the faucet on the top. You usually can get to the handle screw by prying cover off with small blade screwdriver or point of knife blade.. Tighten screw and hopefully this will fix your problem. Thank you.

Cannot remove handle. Allen wrench receiver is stripped. Are there any other options? Thanks!

There is a home cleaning product called the The Works which will loosen the corrosion around the screw. Then use a screw extractor tool. You can find one at most hardware stores and home centers.
Another solution would be to call Moen Customer Support and ask for a new handle and repair parts for free. The faucet should have a lifetime warranty. When you have the new faucet parts in hand, literally cut the handle off the faucet with a hacksaw or drill the screw out to remove the handle.

Don't know model of my faucet but it is designed similarly--faucet is separate from spout. The handle doesn't stay in position unless it is on full force. Otherwise, it shuts off.

Take it off (the handle) and tighten the bolt underneath it that adjusts the pressure. My husband is a plumber and he said it's a simple fix. Hope this helps. To get the handle off- take the cover off and there's a screw underneath it- take it off and then tighten bolt

The handle is loose. It's a single lever control. The mechanism the level connects to still works fine. No leaks, but the handle is now quite wobbly, and I don't know how to tighten it. Do I pry out that...

Remove the plastic red and blue insert or what ever color yours is under the handle in the front. Tighten the set screw with an allen wrench. Be careful not to over tighten or the screw will break off.

Moen 7065 leaking at base of lever control in kitchen faucet

Yes, a cartridge will probably solve it. There are two different Moen cartridges so be sure to take the old one with you so you get the correct one.
