My Logitech Trackman Wheel Mouse is not being recognized by my computer. When inserting it into the USB port it recognizes to download the drivers and installs them. But it doesn't work. How do I remedy this situation?

Try shutting your computer down and unplugging it from the wall power source waiting a minuet and plugging it back in and turn it back on.

Try bypassing the USB hub and plugging the receiver directly into a USB port on the computer. Sometimes devices won't recognize properly if they're going through a hub.

USB device not recognized

Got the easiest solution to the problem. It worked for me, hope it helps all of you too.

First of all, if the device is unrecognizable, go to Device Manager and remove (not disable) the device. After doing so, remove the USB connector from the port.

Next, go to
http://www.logitech.com/en-my/support-downloads?wt.mc_id=usym_redirect_/index/downloads, and look for your mouse/keyboard etc model. Choose the one that you own and choose the Software Downloads option. Next, follow the steps and install the Logitech Connection Utility.

Once installed, follow the steps given and hopefully your device should be reconnected once again. Hope it helps all the best!

It could be a bad Trackman or a bad PS/2 Port.

1st test if it's the port by trying another mouse, or by trying this Trackman in another known working PS/2 port on another computer.  (don't forget to reboot each time you plug in a PS/2 device)

2nd, you can try using a PS/2 to USB adaptor.

These two have great reviews...
