Question about Whirlpool LER4634J Electric Dryer
There are many things that could be keeping the dryer from running. The first thing to check is the start switch itself. When you press in the switch, it should complete the circuit that powers the dryer motor. If you disconnect the dryer's power cord, take off the rear panel, and disconnect the switch, you can check it with a multimeter to make sure it changes state when you activate it. If it doesn't change state, the switch is your problem, and you can either take it apart and repair it or replace it.
If it does change state, the switch is good, and your problem lies somewhere else in the circuitry. It's probably not something minor at this point, and you should have a professional look at it.
