My 2001 Buick lesabre custom shut down and won't turn over the battery is charged and related fuses are correct .how do I find out if the factory security feature is the problem ?

When you turn the key to on position, does the security light go out after a couple seconds? If so, it is not security. If it stays on, do a reset. Turn it on for ten minutes, off for thirty seconds. It resets the security. A relearn is three times this, start after the third time. Have a charger on the battery. If the battery gets to low on voltage, you have to start all over.

Steps to reset a car alarm

If you have the original key.. Turn it on (don't try to start it) for ten minutes, turn it of for ten seconds. Try to start. If it doesn't start you have to do a relearn. Ten minutes on, ten seconds of, do this three times, then try to start it. You will have to have a charger on it. because if the battery gets to low, you'll have to do it all over agian.

Is there a gas pump shut off somewhere that can be turned back on? Battery ran low, when attemped to start jeep, securty light on dash flashed, head and tail lighs flashed. when jumped it started each time...

The security has been activated. you have to turn the ignition on, but don't try to start it, let it set for ten minutes turn it off without pulling the key out and try to startit. you may have to do this three times on ten off, on ten off, on ten off, then try to start it.
Good luck Randy

My car anti-theft seems to have kicked in and I can't get it to start. What do I do next?

hi, you can perform the reset with just your key and a battery charger to see if this will allow for restart. what you do is, hook up a battery charger to start with, low amperage setting like 15 amp, or maybe 2 amp, and leave it on the battery, you will be leaving the key on for up to an hour and the battery must not die during this time. turn the key on and try to start once for about 1-2 seconds, then let go and let key rest in run position for fifteen minutes at minimum. then turn off the key, wait ten seconds, and turn on again to run position only, leave on for another fifiteen minutes, then again, turn off for ten seconds, turn back on to run position for fifteen minutes. after this time, turn the key off, wait ten seconds, and try to start the car. if it starts, check to see if the check engine light is illuminated, or the security light is on, if one or the other is on, take to a shop and have codes checked and diagnosed, if no lights on, you should be able to drive on. if the vehicle does not start after three reset key cycles, try the process one more time. it may have been interupted somehow. if you try twice and still no start, you have to have diagnosed further, maybe in the key, maybe in the lock cylinder, maybe in the theft module.

Tv turns itself off after bout ten seconds

Your over voltage circuits(hi-voltage and low voltage) are defective. When the voltage exceeds the specs it shuts off the tv.Unless your a service tech, you can't fix this. There are components on the main circuit tha t have to be changed.Sorry, no easy fix.
