I've got the same problem. So I search over the internet but I can't find anything so I went to the gameshop and they told me the shocking news dat because I did press on Update, and because of that, they blocked the NDS for using r4i cards. The card is OK, its the NDS thats blocked. So she said to me the best thing you can is sell your DS and buy a new one, or wait untill their is an new firmware that solve the problem, but no idea how long that could be. :(

Thanks. I figured that it got "hit" with the update. The R4 works in the old DS though. Thanks again.:)

Ur welcome. :) Iv got the NDSi xl so i cant use on an old one, but their already new cards who do work in 1.4.1E, like acecard 2i.. so im just going to buy that one instead to sell my nds, i think thats better for me lol

My nintendo has got a problem for a few months now. when turn on the power button, it has given an error messagge "an error has occurred. press and hold the power button to turn the system off....

If the following error message appeared in your DSi or DSI XL: "An error has occurred. Press and hold the POWER button to turn the system off...", It means that your Nintendo has been updated (by the Internet) to the version 1.4.2 (or 1.4.3) or you bought it updated. In this case your DSi XL or DSi doesn't work with any flashcard in the market.

If you don't have an updated flashcard, the solution requieres both "updating the kernel of your flashcard" and also "patching it". I hope it helps you.

R4: An error has occured

The DSi has a firewall. The DSi blocks your card. Not a new SD, but a new R4, mate.
