Since the NBN was installed our cordless phones don't always connect to an incoming call when we pick up the handset

the cordless phone base still has to be plugged into the nbn socket at the wall same as the old wire connections
call the nbn technician back if that is not the problem

Is my older uniden dect 1635 +3 phone with only 2 wire coms cable compatible to nbn.

the nbn optic fiber comes to the house and then through a converter back to hard line to the phone socket to use with phones
I cannot see why it will not work
best if you talk with your service provider that is installing the nbn to the house

Got a NBN car subwoofer with amplifier. the bass often stops working. wat should i do? thx

what are you talking about unit01, you talk too much but isn't revealing the main prob. it's the Electronic board that is deffective that's why it's turned on, but no sound, because the board of the sub is not operating anymore, maybe a busted capacitor or IC. that's why. ok? don't listen to unit01, it's a non sense talks lol

I put an after market cd player in my 2003 acura 3.2 tl type s. all the speakers are working fine but i am not getting any sound out of the factory subwoofer, it is not working. any idead what i did wrong...

You got to connect the blue amp turn on wire. If still dont work. then you got to find the factory amp find the two wires that sends frequency signals to the amp. You will see a total of 7 wires. So you've got to use process of elimination. Use a multimeter.

1.Constant 12 Volt
2. Ground
3. Amp turn on
4. + output wires going to the + of the subwoofer
5. - output wires going to the - of the subwoofer
6 + input wires going to the radio harness
7 + input wires going to the radio harness

6 & 7 are like the rca's you plug in at the input of an aftermarket amplifier and and on the other end plug in the output subwoofer of the Radio.

So on a factory amp you wont see any RCA's its all wires. Once you find the first 5 just remember the last 2 wires.

If you want your radio to control the gain and volume of the Subwoofer get a long RCA plug it on the back of your radio that says sub output and then cut the other end of that RCA and connect the positive the + input wire on the amp and the negative to the negative input wire on the amp.

If you dont know whats positive or negative just go ahead and connect it and experiment. You will know if your in phase when the subs sound boomy. Then the connections are correct. If it sounds Tinney then the connection is out of phase. solder then tape all connections with black electrical tape. Dont leave any power wires exposed or else cause a short and blow fuses.

Good luck

Just installed new steam shower, it produces steam for about 5 minutes and then blows the fuse

Based from your comments, a new steam shower that blows the fuse in five minutes. You could have installed a new steam shower that is much bigger than what you previously have.
1. For a 5000 watts steam shower at 220 volts
power must have a fuse rating of 40 amps, supply
wires of at least No. 6 AWG Type THW ; and at
110 volts a fuse rating of 80Amps, supply wires
of at least No. 2 AWG type THW.
2. For a 4000 watts at 220 volts, Fuse: 30 amps,
Supply wire: No. 10 AWG type THW. At 110volts
60 amps, Supply wires : No. 4 AWG Type THW
3. For a 3000 watts at 220 volts, Fuse: 20 amps
Supply wire: No. 10 AWG type THW; At 110volts
Fuse: 40 amps, Supply wire: No. 6 AWG THW
4. For a 2000 watts at 220 volts, Fuse: 15 amps
Supply wire: No. 10 AWG THW and at 110 volts
Fuse: 30 amps, Supply wire: No, 8 AWG THW

Came home after a storm and smelled electric burning and heard a hum from the subwoofer. now i wonder what the problem is and is it worth getting fixed.

I had almost the same problem. I was Playing music and my speakers kept on shorting out, i smelled burning wires and i look in back of my subwoofers and there melted. i just simply replaced the wires exept with a thicker 14 Gauge wire. But i dont know if your subwoofer is damaged or not. but i would try changing the wires.

Problem wirings for Pioneer AVH-P6500DVD Car DVD Player

very easy fix. you can pay thirty bucks on ebay and buy the bypass kit or make it yourself. but the light green wire on the harness has to be hooked up to ground. just hook the light green wire to the chassie of the car and you will be able to see dvds all the time. If you want to buy the kit its not really needed I have a toggle switch on mine just for turning it on and off when I am driving. simple as putting a wire from your chassie of the car(Ground) and then the other from the unit(light green wire) to a switch. hooking it up from Supply to Acc on the switch.
