Use spirit on a tissue paper and wipe it carefully and very lightly for few times until the colors can be seen on the tissue paper. Do it few times and try printing out a test page. (For a test pattern go to paint create four vertical boxes of 1cm width filled with 3 primary colors and one black). If still it is clogging, try it out the above steps for few times.

(Spirit is available in medical stores).

Why does yellow not print on oki c5200?

The fountain under the yellow cartridge could be dried and clogged (assuming the cartridge is not dried up from too infrequent use and is not empty. If you stuff all around the fountain with rags and then gently force water into the fountain using a syringe you might be able to clear the ink passageway and restore yellow in the machine. Servicing the other fountains might be in order, too, since one clog is likely to be followed by others. Remember to use the printer more often to prevent such cloggingg. Also, you could try the built-in printer head clean function before trying the manual cleaning; but, generally, when it gets to the point of zero ink delivery, it's already to late to clear the ink clog with fresh ink, which is what the self clean feature does to try to dissolve the clog and restore ink flow to the fountain.

Do refillable cartridges cause HP 3650 printer to not print????????

Get new ink cartridges. If they sit that long without being used the ink will dry out in the print head part of the cartridge and clog the very small holes. The clogs are inside the cartridge so wiping the outside will not clear the blockage. In the future if you have to leave the unit without it being used for over about a week you should remove the ink carts and put them in a sealed zip lock bag to prevent them from drying out.

It won't print in black. We have tried 3 differant cartridges. At times it prints a shasding of the image. All the other colors work fine.

Use the HP Printing Assistant software to run a few "print-head-cleaning-cycles".
The BLACK ink-jets are CLOGGED. So, no ink from any of the 3 different cartridges reaches the paper.

Replaced all ink cartridges and cyan does not print printer says the head is not clogged

clogged nozzles caused by the lower quality of ink in refilled or aftermarket cartridges. There cartridge inks may not be up to specification. This is especially true for the ultra fine printers.
To clear the problem you need to insert an OEM cartridge, run the deep nozzle cleaning utiliity at least twice followed by the alignment utility. This should clear up the problem with the spotty and washed out printout.
Let me know if this solves your problem.

The magenta won't work. i put a new cartridge, cleaned headers, test printed. all the other colors work find but, NO magenta comes out.

This sounds like you are using an aftermarket or refilled ink cartridge. If this is the case, try putting in a new OEM magenta ink cartridge and running the deep cleaning utility 3 times. This usually clears a clogged nozzle caused by non-OEM loaded inks.
Let me know if this clears the problem. Thanks.

Have Pixma MP760. Problem with magenta print nozzle, which is not functioning properly. All others functioning fine. Repeated cleaning has improved the print colour but still patchy on the nozzle check...

Are you using aftermarket/refilled cartridges? To do a complete cleaning of the nozzle, you need to use a new OEM ink cartridge. Run the deep cleaning at least 3 times. This will clear the nozzle. You will eventually have the same problem with the other nozzles as long as you continue to use aftermarket/refilled cartridges. The inks used in them are not as highly quality controlled as the OEM inks so you will end up with clogged or partially clogged nozzles. The new OEM cartridges method usually clears the problem.
Let me know if this clears the problem. Thanks.

Will not print in black. will print in color. I

Sounds like a badly clogged nozzle. If you are using aftermarket/refilled cartridges, the changes are the ink is not up to manufacturer specs and has dried and clogged the nozzle. The best way to clear this is to take a new black ink OEM cartridge and run the deep cleaning a number of times (at least 3) to see if the nozzle can be cleared. If you continue to use non-OEM cartridges, I would keep a set of OEM cartridges around for nozzle clearing purposes. Also, take the aftermarket ink cartridges back to the vendor and either get an upgraded cartridge or refund.
Let me know if this corrects the problem. Thanks.

Printer will not print Magenta or Photo Magenta

When you have an ink problem on one or more of the nozzles, the chances are that they have been clogged by either inactivity or the use of aftermarket/refilled ink. The first thing to try is to insert new OEM ink cartridges and run the nozzle cleaning utility at least 3 times to clear the nozzle. Depending on the clogging it may take more than 3 cleanings. This method should clear the problem. Be careful when you buy aftermarket inks since they may not meet the specifications required by the manufacturer. I can suggest some good vendors if you need.
Please try this solution as soon as possible and let me know the results. Thanks.

After cleaning the head on our MP500 there are still streaks

This is more than likely a ink cartridge failure. If you are using after market/or refilled ink cartridges, I would try an OEM cartridge to clear the problem. The non-OEM ink has probably clogged the nozzle.
Change the cartridges, run a deep cleaning on all colors, run alignment and the test page. The problem should clear up.
Sometimes non-OEM inks are not up to specifications and cause this problem.
Let me know if this clears the problem.
Please make sure to rate this solution. Thanks.

No yellow ink

It sounds like you have a clogged nozzle. First I must assume you are using refilled compatible cartridges. You should change the cartridges for genuine Epson ones before proceeding.

Run 4 or 5 head cleaning procedures through the printer driver. DO NOT DO THIS WITH COMPATIBLE INK IN as this can make the problem worse.

If the clog does not clear or show significant improvement after 3 or 4 cleans, contact this person for information on intensive head cleaning for your machine.
