If you have an installation disk then reinstall the sound drivers from that disk. If not find out the model of the soundcard and do a Google search for the drivers on the Internet.

try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer

Audio problem. computer speakers are working beeps etc, but radio and video no sound

In Windows XP, go to:

Start -> Control Panel -> Sounds & Audio Devices -> Audio
Ensure that your sound card, and not a USB device, is selected for audio output as the default device.

In Windows Vista/7:

Start -> Control Panel -> Sound
Ensure that 'speakers' is selected as the default device.

Alternatively, if the beeps are coming from the computer case itself, please clarify as such with a follow up response.

My laptop has no sound

Please add more details but I can suggest,
Control Panel > Sounds, Speech and Audio Devices > Sounds and Audio Devices, and try to change your default device to Realtek HD Audio Output. If that doesn't work restart your computer (if your audio only stopped working today)
