Sorry but you are using the word EQUATION incorrectly. All you have is two numbers you want to divide one by the other.

Enter the numerator 1EE (-) 14, press the division key / then enter the 5 EE (-) 12. Press the = sign.

Note: to enter the negative sign in the exponents, use the change sign key marked**(-), (+/-) or [+/-] **. Do not use the regular MINUS sign.

When you use the EE key, you must not enter the 10. It is understood because EE is a shortcut for***10^**.

On some calculators there is a key marked with K (on the key or around it on the calculator face).

Try entering the divisor then the division key then press K. If that does not work try another order.

On some other calculators you press the operation key twice. Try entering the divisor first then press the division key twice. The next number you enter will be divided by the one enter before pressing the operation key. (divisor).

If you are talking about the multiplication sign, look for a key marked with a cross. It should be in the same column as the other operations, between the subtraction (-) and the division keys.

There should not be a problem: There are no complicated functions.

I suggest you do the calculation in steps

Step 1: Calculate the numerator 6^2+7.77^2+4^2=

The result will be stored in ANS memory, which you access by pressing the ANS key (either directly if marking is on the key, or by pressing 2nd followed by the key near which is the ANS marking).

Step 2: while the result is still displayed, press the division key, then a left parenthesis to enclose the denominator. Close the right parenthesis then press =

Look for the key marked [a b/c]. The shifted function of that key is [d/c]. Use it to enter an improper fraction. Numerator [SHIFT] [a b/c] then denominator. You can also just enter the numerator, press the division key, then enter the denominator.

To toggle between fraction and decimal use a key marked [FD].

If this a a real calculator then your sign of the division must have rubbed off from the keypad.

So the best way to find is to look at the remaing signs of the -.+ and x. the remaining one will be the division sign other than the = sign.

to confirm divide a sum and get answer to confirm.

The computer can't find the operating system. It could be a sign of your hard drive failing.

I'd suggest booting up the machine while holding the 'option' key and selecting your startup disc, if that doesn't work, insert the OS installation disc and hold either 'option' to select the startup disc or hold 'c' which will boot directly from the DVD.

Running disc utility and repairing the permissions and verifying the disc MIGHT solve the issue. However usually when the machine can't find the OS it is a sign of hard drive failure.
