Hello,

Use a plastic scrubber and mild detergent or dish soap and water to scrub the black marks on the cooktop, or you can use Abrasive cleaner to clean the affected parts.

Take care.

EGGS SPLATTERED INTO MICROWAVE EMA301D2PS ELECTROLUX; HOW TO CLEAN IT?

Put a bowl of water with a couple of slices of lemon in it. Put it on low power (no convection) and heat the water up to a simmer. Turn off the microwave and leave the door closed for 10 minutes. Open the door and clean with dish soap and water, or for tough marks something like Comet or Mr Muscle Kitchen cleaner as all the dirt will be soft.

Arched from recessed area next to light

Your description is a little vague. I am assuming that you are saying that the inside of the unit has black scorching marks near the area that the interior light bulb is housed. If that is the case then the coating on the inside of the microware is compromised. This is usually caused from food particles getting stuck the inside or it has become scratched. When this happens, the microwave will continue to spark in that area, This will result in further black marks and it will cause the entire unit to fail at its most expensive part, sooner. You can take care of this issue by cleaning the interior very well and then paint the inside again with microwave oven paint. It has to be special paint.

Hi, We have MAYTAG schott ceran flexchoice glass cooking top. Even after cleaning it with a ceramic glass top cleaner, stains are remaining on it. Can u please suggest what is the best way to clean it .

Sudha3025 -
Sorry to hear you're having trouble getting your cooktop clean.
You mention you are using a glass-ceramic cleaner but I would also suggest scrapping the stains with a NEW metal razor scraper. A cooktop scraper is similar to one you would use to scrape paint off your windowpanes at home and you can typically find them at a hardware store. The razor won't damage the surface like other abrasive sponges might. For best results, hold the scraper at approximately a 30 degree angle to the cooktop and protect your hands by wearing an oven mitt.
Also try using a Wieman sponge in conjunction with the cleaner on those stubborn stains.
As always, try to clean up spills, especially sugary ones, immediately when they happen, or get them away from the hot burner area and clean after every use.
Hope this is helpful!

I accidentally covered a plate with foil in the microwave. there was Arcing (no fire) and now there is black marks etched where the foil touched the sides. The cavity seems unharmed though, it seems if I...

Sometimes the arcing itself will cause black marks inside the oven. The places where the foil was melted, (touching), likely left small metal deposits, possibly now, impregnated in the surface. It is important to remove these if possible to avoid further arcing. Remove these then test to make sure the oven is functioning properly. If so, continue to use.
