My Ipod touch screen suddenly began to display everything huge. What happened?

Hi mariaelenaga,

To set a minimum font size for messages:

Choose "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" > Minimum Font Size, then choose Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large, or Giant.

Also, you may need to try the following:

Restarting and Resetting iPod touch

If something isn't working right, restarting, force quitting an application, or resetting iPod touch will likely solve the problem.

Restart iPod touch: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.

Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPod touch. To turn iPod touch back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.

If you can't turn off iPod touch or if the problem continues, you may need to reset. A

reset should be done only if turning iPod touch off and on doesn't resolve the problem.

Force quit an application: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPod touch

for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then press and hold the Home button

until the application quits.

Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the
same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

This information was sourced from the iPod Touch official user guide at:

http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iPod_touch_3.0_User_Guide.pdf

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

CellPhBuddy.

White screen

This is probably caused by not allowing the firmware update to finish
the installation before disconnecting the iPod.
Try these steps.
Reset the iPod:
1.Turn the Hold switch on, then back to off.
2.Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons for 10 seconds (until the
Apple logo appears).
3.You may need to repeat the reset several times.
If the reset doesn't help, then put the iPod into forced disk mode.
Put iPod into Disk Mode:
Apple suggests that you ensure your iPod is charged before following
the next step. How exactly you check a charge on an iPod screen that
is completely white has yet to be revealed. But hey, give it a shot
anyway. Plug the iPod into a high-powered USB port, let it sit for 2
hours, then disconnect it. If you have a wall charger, plug in the
iPod, then follow these steps while it is still plugged in.
1.Turn the Hold switch on, then back to off.
2.Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo
appears
3.Immediately switch your figures to press and hold the Select and the
Play/Pause buttons until "Disk Mode" appears at the top.
For a lot of people, this solves the problem. Connect the iPod to the
computer and (assuming it shows up) reset the iPod again to get it out
of Disk Mode. If at this point you still have the white screen,
restore the iPod using the restore function in iTunes under the Summary
tab (this will erase everything on the iPod and put it at factory
settings).
Don't disconnect or eject the iPod until the store is totally done.
After you think it's done, wait another five minutes.
I hope this helps

Disabled ipod

  1. Power off the device (Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the the iPod touch to turn off.
  2. Press and hold the Home button while reconnecting the USB cable to iPod. When you reconnect the USB to iPod, the device should then power on.
  3. Continue holding the Home button while iPod starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo.
  4. When you see "Connect to iTunes" on the screen, you can release the Home button and iTunes will display the recovery mode message:
  5. Restore and it'll download ~240mb firmware and you're done
Warning: you will lose all your data
but it will definitely solve your problem.

My iPod does not turn on

There are a few of possibilities.

1. The hold switch is on. The hold switch is the little switch on the top of the ipod. If it is on (you will see orange color) then move it to the off position (no orange color). Then press any of the buttons to turn the ipod on.

2. You need to reset the Ipod. This is done by
  1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  2. Press and hold the Play/Pause and Menu buttons simultaneously until the Apple/iPod logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
Hope this works for you.

Itunes won't recognize my ipod.

Trying restarting your iPod (by holding down the menu and center button at the same time until you get the Apple logo), then plugging it back into the computer. iTunes should recognize it then. I had the same problem recently and that solved it.
