Hello,

If you are already using propane, then your supply tank should have a regulator on it (high pressure), and there should be another regulator on the building (low pressure).

Per the installation manual, at an altitude of 0-2000 feet, you will need a regulator that is able to sustain a flow of 117,000 BTUs.

For this flow rate, you likely will not be able to use a portable 20, 30, or 40# propane cylinder. These small cylinders are not able to supply enough gas at that kind of volume, and will end up refrigerating / freezing up. Use at least a 100# cylinder, or a bulk tank.

Based on last comment, I am assuming that you don't have LP in place at the moment.

You will need a LP regulator, that is able to support 117,000 BTU (minimum) at an appliance delivery pressure of between 11-13" W.C. A larger regulator will reduce the tendency to freeze when running near capacity.

A propane supply house can get you the regulator that you need.

Hello. Here is a link to a free downloadable copy of the installation manual for your Bosch wr400k1. http://www.elpower.net/bosch_install_guides/WR400-K1P.pdf

Go to page 11 for the schematic and part numbers for the regulator. In addition to the regulator for liquid propane you will also need the orifice for liquid propane and the main burner for liquid propane. All of these must be Bosch parts. Converting an appliance from one type of gas to another is serious business. Do not proceed unless you have the correct Bosch parts and you are certain that all procedures are followed to code. J.

My Bosch Water Heater keeps going off. I reset it and then A7 keeps coming up. We had a power outage for about 6 days. I do not have the manual. Do you know what it is and how to fix it? Thank...

Questions might be asking for a manual, and asks what error A7 means, and asks how to fix error problem, but model number of Bosch heater is not given.
Error codes are start-point for troubleshooting, and can include multiple causes.
So following answer provides general do-it-yourself resources, without saying that problem can be 100% diagnosed or fixed by homeowner.

1) Error code A7 is outlet temperature sensor fault.
Problems include: need for descaling, dirty inlet water filter, debris in faucet aerators, dirty wiring terminals, bad wiring harness, or bad temperature sensor.

2) Before calling service technician who can test failed parts and catch tankless up on yearly maintenance, open following links for Bosch resources including error codes, phone number, possible manual, and descaling instructions, and cleaning inlet filter:

There is likely an onboard relay stuck in the open position.

This is a gas appliance and should be serviced by an authorized BOSCH repair center to avoid potential catastrophe.

My Bosch on demand water heater is clogged. I cleaned the inlet line but seems to be inside the smaller copper tubing. HELP!

If you can access the pipe that is clogged, Poor some lime away into it . Let it sit and ad more as needed. the calcium will sofen and ca be flush out. Takes patience. Once you get some flow, fill the tubing with a descaling solution (hardware store) and let it sit. Pool acid works but must be thoroughly flushed out. be careful with acids, always wear gloves.

Tubing size

Absolutely not. Unless it is installed exactly as instructed you will have a problem. Too small of a line = reduced flow rate.
