It would be good to use old stuffs on new systems but unfortunately this one will not work with windows xp. The camera is designed for use in windows 98 and won't work with xp environment.

Looks like you may be out of luck.
Supported Operating Systems :

>> Kensington VideoCAMs are only supported under Windows 98 and Me. They are not supported under Windows 95, NT, 2000, or XP.

>> Due to a changing market, Kensington has made a very difficult business decision. As of 2001, Kensington exited the Imaging business in order to focus on other products.

>> As a result of this, Kensington no longer develops drivers for the #67014 Kensington VideoCAM, #67015 Kensington VideoCAM VGA, or the #67016 Kensington VideoCAM Super VGA. Thus, VideoCAM drivers for Windows XP or 2000 operating systems have never been developed, nor will be supported by Kensington.

I have a veo cam it was working with xp but when i got a new labtop with windows 7 the cd that came with it cant up load in to windows 7 what do i do

XP allows you to change the settings to use the cam. Now windows 7 may not support your video camera. The best thing to do is go to microsoft website and see why windows 7 does not support your video. How old is the cam?

Dont want to be the bearer of bad news but you will not find XP drivers for that hardware as there was none made... needless to say for Vista neither

Windows 98, that's old, you might have sound card issues.. Make sure to update your sound card drivers and for the video I doubt 98 even supports flash player.

Webcam wont let me do Video Effects?

If you have the "exact" same cam as your brother, and also use the "exact" same programs as your brother, then their is no reason why your cam would not work as your brothers.
Did you download the plug & play option for the cam?
Do you use the "exact" same version of windows as your brother? (Win 98, XP, Vista)

Installation on windows vista program

Who makes the ez305 web cam. Look @ the website of the producer if they have a driver your in. But if they don't and vista won't install a generic driver it won't work. Vista will make a lot of hardware obsolete just like xp for hardware that works with windows 98.
