I have asus built in webcam, and it's called LifeFrame. Everytime I take pictures and try to move it to my "picture folder" I can never find my pictures. How do I find them? Or how can I get them back?

If you run a search on your computer with the phrase "image" you should be able to relocate them. That worked for me. For some reason, it doesn't always save to the correct folder.

Asus lifeframe missing pictures

Hi emoly
try doing a search for a file type, in windows 7 type in the search box "type:jpeg" without the quotes. jpeg is a common type of picture, if you know that your camera saves as a different file type then use that. Hope this helps.

My lifeframe photos are not saving anywhere

those pics will be within a folder called documents and a folder called lifefram. you can also type that in your built in computer search and it will find all known locations of file named life fram, when you see this folder open it and youll see a few folders music, videos, pics, games. youll find all things in this location. hope that helps.

Hi Welcome to Fix Ya. I also use an Asus with Lifeframe. Have you tried copying the photos to your Photo folder in your default picture library?

In other words, if you right click your photo in the lifeframe app and select "copy to" a drop down menu will appear that reads: "Select Folder."

2. Click on your Win Profile name. Then select "My Pictures" folder. The path will read: C:\Users\Your profile name\Pictures

3. You can then make a new folder or you can save it in the Lifeframe folder in a new separate folder.

Hope this helps. Thanks for using fix ya!

I have an Acer Aspire and I don't know how to get the built in webcam to work. Please give specific directions.

Remove all the pictures out of your Pictures folder. Just move them to a folder on your desktop or somewhere. When all the pictures are out of your Picture folder you Acer Crystal Eye Webcam should start to work.

I do not know how to get the cam to work. I cannot find the program for the webcam. I wanted my ASUS to work for the face-recognition feature, but I do not know how. :S

LifeFrame is a program from ASUS and is found in the ASUS Utility folder in all programs on your start menu(maybe yours is called differently but check in that folder)

Hope this helps!

Asus Webcam constantly being used by mystery application

Built in webcams are not the easiest to troubleshoot as its difficult to reboot the webcam software.
With my plug-in I can just disconnect it for a couple of seconds to reboot it and clear the previous program.
Its not unusual for webcam software to remain hooked up to a program even after you exit it correctly.
What is unusual with yours the webcam comes on when you start your computer.
You might try to disable your webcam and then enable it again in the 'Imaging' folder of your Device Manager to see if the webcam light goes off and remains off when you enable it again.
You should be able to see where the webcam is being used by launching your Task Manager and hitting the Application tab.
Hope you can get your problem sorted and post some information on it for future reference

Work my web cam on my asus monitor

I too got the vk26 monitor with the built in webcam. So I too had the problem with the software. I tried drivers, redownloading and uninstalling..etc,etc. But packaged with the monitor is a series of cables, one of which you HAVE to plug the into the back of the monitor and into your computer. I thought that the dvi cable would take care of everything, ehh,I thought wrong. Asus didn't mention that in the very small worded monitor guide. So in short, once you install the software, you must you the usb cable that came with the monitor, plug that in,and you're good to go. =)
