Error 07 Syntax

Means you made a typing error while entering the equation. Using the minus sign instead of the negation sign (change sign) (-), can produce a syntax error. Maybe you need to explicitly type the multiplication sign

y= (-) 1.5*x +3

Try entering it as 3 - 1.5*x

Enter the equation as 2*X+3. Make sure that the name of the independent variable X in the equation and that on the INDEP:X line are both Capital letters or both lowercase letters.

Put the calculator in Equation solving mode. Select F3:Solver. Enter your equation; use X as unknow (no need to use Theta, the name of the variable is irrelevant.) Besides if you use theta you will get a syntax error.

Use the other = sign obtained by pressing [ALPHA][CALC]. You also use the[ALPHA] key before entering X,Y,A,B,C.D variables.

The = sign at the bottom that gave you syntax errors is in fact an EXECUTE command. It used to be marked [EXE] on Casio calculators

This last one is obtained with the Zoom: Auto

- Turn calculator ON (isn't that obvious?)
- If you see no icons, press [MENU]
- Use arrow to move focus on GRAPH and press [EXE]
- By default, the graph type is Y=
- Enter your equation on line Y1=, use the [X,theta,T] key to enter the X-variable
- Press [EXE] when finished entering a function.
- Enter other functions if you want.
- When done, press [F6:Draw].
- If you do not see a big portion of the curve you can press [SHIFT] [F2:Zoom] and select [F5:Auto]

This last one is obtained with the Zoom: Auto

You're not putting in the f(x)= part, are you?

I put in x-1/x^2+3-4 exactly as you gave it and can't reproduce your result. Exactly what are you putting in?
