The passenger side power sliding door on my 2003 Silhouette binds up when opening and shuts automatically before fully opens. I have disabled the power control to the door to open manuallly. It still is very difficult to open and shut and the cable comes out of the door when opening. The coating on the cable appears to be frayed or stripped back. Is this a case of adjustment, cable replacement or something else?

I have a 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette and the passenger rear sliding door closes all the way and when it pulls in to latch the rear latch it pops back out. What might be causing this?

Sounds as if the cable is shot which means that the motor will have to be replaced cause i think after 01 they went from cable pulley to sleeved cable and cause of the frayed cable in the sleeve is causing the stiff door btw i have installed power sliding doors on my 02 venture and know the system intimatly

My right passenger side sliding door won't open all the way as the left side one. It just opens 2/3, any idea why?

Your door may be binding in the guide tracks. Check when the door opens. You could try spray lithum grease if you find that the door does bind.

The lock on the power sliding door (driver's side)

You should be able to manually unlock the door and open it,even without the power lock working. The center roller on these vans is prone to wear, causing binding and misalignment of the electrical connectors that you see when the door is open. This may cause the locks to be disabled and the door to not open with the power button. There are three rollers on each door, but many times only the center one is worn out.The installation & alignment of the rollers is critical on this vehicle,so you should consider the dealer for this repair. good luck

2002 Old Silhouette Driver Power Sliding Door will not open

Look in your owners manual there is a procedure to reset the door controls. If that dosen't work maybe the motor is burnt out, it's in the left rear access panel.

Rewiring sliding side doors on 2000 Olds Silhouette

I checked on bulldogsecurity.com to get an idea of the placement of where this plug might be for the sliding doors. It says that it is a light blue wire and it says that it is in the passenger kick panel. What that may (probably) means is that when you open the door you might have to pull up the plastic trim that runs along the bottom of the door and try to find this wire. Trace it until you find the plug. I hope this helps. If not post again and I'll try to help further.

The power sliding passenger door will not open even manually. At first it didn't want to close, but after I slammed it shut it didn't want to open. A few days later I was trying to get the door panel off...

I think you have a latch issue or a latch release issue, pull the door panel and try and release the door latch, pull the latch and try to see what if anything is wrong with it, also make sure the linkage going to the latch from the release handle is hooked up or not otherwise damaged.
