SOURCE: encryption key error

This is a software compatibility issue, it's easily fixed by connecting the PS3 to the internet, logging into your PSN account and running a system update. It will update the software and get you a new encryption key. It's part of the movie's copy protection.

SOURCE: playstation 3 renew the encryption key how is this

Sometimes the keys just expire and you have to renew them. You can do this by going to system update on your PS3. Its in settings which is the 2nd tab over in your XMB. Its the very top option. Click update via internet and it should be fine.

How to perform system software update to renew encryption key on my playststion 3

You may have to renew the AACS encryption key to play content such as movies on commercially available BD video software (BD-ROM). If a message indicating that the encryption key needs to be renewed is displayed, update the system software to the latest version. The encryption key will then be automatically renewed.
AACS (Advanced Access Control System) is a copyright-protection technology that is used on Blu-ray Discs. The copyrighted content is protected by setting an encryption key on both the disc and the device used to play the disc.
An AACS encryption key expires in 12 to 18 months and must be renewed. There may also be other times when the key has to be renewed. in the manual

Do you know if your PS3 has been updated to the most current firmware? In your XMB on your ps3 go to settings.. The very top option is system update. Click it and it will ask you to select a method. Update via internet. Go through this you should be good to go. Sometimes the key just has to be renewed, they usually expire 12-18 mos. Heres a link to the manual..
