Phone is asking me for puk code - Cell Phones

The PUK code is the Personal Unblocking Key. If your phone is locked and asking for PUK you need to contact your service provider to get the PUK code.

PUK code is called as PERSONNAL UNBLOCKING KEY.
Your phone will ask for PUK code when you entered the PIN code wrongly several times depending upon the mobile make. The mobile asks for PUK code so that unauthorized persons do not use your mobile for wrong cause.
To get PUK code please contact your service provider through phone or go directly to their office. They will provide you the PUK code for your mobile. The PUK code for mobile phone.so that you can open your phone. When you planning to call your service provider you cannot use your mobile as it is fully locked. Please use some other mobile with same network to call your service provider.
While you get the PUK code ,the service provider customer care officer will ask for your personal details to check whether the mobile belongs to you only. If they are satisfied with your answers they will provide with the PUK code
DONOT enter the PUK code several times wrongly,It will block your sim card permanently.
This PUK code is FREE. You no need to pay any sum to get the PUK code

if it is asking for PUK code then contact your phone provider from another phone and ask them for the puk code by telling your blocked sim. If it is asking for pin code then try 0000 or 1234. In case both of these don't work then probably you changed the pin from default. Keep on trying different numbers till it gets blocked and asking for PUK code. Once it asks for PUK code just ask your phone provider and once you give the PUK code it will open.

Hi the PUK code is the security code for the sim card and not the phone so you have a couple of options you could call your service provider and ask them for the PUK code for that sim card, they will gove you the code for free over the phone then you enter this code into your phone and it wont ask for this code again.
or your other option would be to get another sim card from the same service provider and put this in your phone as this would not ask for the PUK code.

call your mobile service customer care number and ask your puk code from them...they will ask yourr last 4digit sim card number...give that number to them...they will give puk code ...use that code and continue your operation

PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Key, and it is a unique identificative code to prevent theft, or unauthorized users from using your SIM.
Even if it comes with the phone, PUK code is associated to SIM card, not to the phone.
When you input wrong SIM card pin three times , the phone will ask the PUK code.
Usually PUK is printed on a sticker inside phone box.
If you have lost your PUK code you will need to call the company that provides you the phone service when you bought the phone (eg. Vodaphone, Orange, 3, Telecom etc.).
The only alternative is going to a phone shop, they will call the phone company , get PUK and unlock your SIM.

Some phones have also an unlock code, but this is not called PUK, if phone asks for PUK you need to call phone company.
There is no way to get PUK straight from the phone.
If phone is locked with Phone Lock Code go to a local phone shop, they will connect it to a computer and get the code.
Common phone default unlock codes are 0000 for Sony Erikkson, and 1234 for Nokia.





you have to ask your service provider for PUK. Personal Unlocking Code (PUK) is needed when 3 entry of wrong security had been made. You can ask Globe's customer care no (it is call free) from another Globe sim . Operator online will ask you 2-3 question to determine your identity and provide you PUK. There is no another way to get PUK as it is providers fixed code.

The PUK code is related to the SIM card, not to the phone. If the SIM card is different from the one originally provided with the phone the PUK code won't work.

When you lose the PUK code, the only way to retrieve the code is by calling the phone company that released the card inside the phone.

An alternative way to get rid of the PUK code is by using a different SIM card.

contact your cellular service provider and ask for puk code, they will ask the number printed on your sim card. give them the details and they will give you the puk code. Try inserting that puk code.
