Erase hard drive hp1055

In service test menu scroll to "3.Hard disc drive", & press enter, if test drive passed don't replace the hard disc or modification or changes. If test failed then check as shown below:
1 Switch the printer OFF. Remove the EIO Card (if installed) and re-install the Hard Disk Drive making sure it installed correctly by pushing it firmly inwards and checking that the two installation screws are completely tightened. Switch the printer ON again and repeat the Hard Disk Drive Test. If the Hard Disk Drive Test fails again then replace the Hard Disk Drive.
2 If the Hard Disk Drive Test passed after removing the EIO Card, then switch the Printer OFF and reinstall the EIO Card, making sure that the two installation screws are completely tightened.
Switch the Printer ON again and repeat the Hard Disk Drive Test. If the Hard Disk Drive Test fails, then the EIO Card could be faulty.Replace the EIO Card.
3 If the Hard Disk Drive Test continues to fail after replacing the EIO card or the Hard Disk Drive, then replace the Electronics Module..
I am having little knowledge, if I am wrong Pl don't comment, pl forgive me.

NO BOOTABLE DEVICE

When the computer/laptop cannot see a boot file/disk on either the hard disk or floppy drive it gives an error message - "No bootable device. Insert boot disk and press any key"

First thing, check to see if the is a floppy disk inthe floppy drive, if so removes this disk.

If there was no disk in the floppy drive then it maybe a hard disk problem.
Check the BIOS to see if the hard disk is detected, if not open the case and re-seat the data cable on the hard drive and also where it connects to the motherboard disk controller.
If it still gives this error message and the BIOS does not detect this hard drive, then the hard drive is probably faulty.

A further check on the hard drive, remove the hard drive and connect it to an USB hard drive adapter and connect it to a working computer's USB port, if this computer does not detect it as an external storage device then the hard drive is faulty.

To get the computer operating again, install a new hard drive in your computer and then install Windows on this hard drive plus the computer's device drivers and your programs.

My laptop cannot read my hard disk, why?

Either:
* no power reaching the hard-disk
* the "data" cable is no longer connected to the hard-disk and/or to the motherboard
* the "spinning" part of the hard-disk is no longer spinning
* the "electronics" part of the hard-disk has failed.

Take the computer to a qualified computer technician, for trouble-shooting, and possibly a replacement of the disk-drive.

Is the disk-drive still under warranty? If so, exercise the warranty to get a replacement disk-drive.

Server XSeries 220

Yes, that is the total amount of hard drive space.
This server was built for speed not for storage.

The xSeries 220 server supports four SCSI hard disk drives. The server does not support IDE hard disk drives. Some models support hot-swap hard disk drives and other models support only non-hot-swap hard disk
drives.
Your server supports four 1-inch (26 mm) slim, 3.5-inch SCSI hard disk drives in the hard disk drive bays. You can install four non-hot-swap hard
disk drives in the models that have the standard non-hot-swap drive cage. You can install three hot-swap hard disk drives and one on-hot-swap hard disk drive in the models that come with the hot-swap drive cage. Both the non-hot-swap and hot-swap drive cages hold a maximum of three hard disk drives.

The calculation at that time was 4 drives with 36.7GB storage.
Even if you find the drives somewhere, they will be very pricy.

If you have any more questions, just come back here and leave a comment - I'm happy to help.

Installing a Seagate Dive into an Armada M700

Here at my shop I have run into this exact same problem on several P3 Compaq's and a few Toshiba's. I found that some of these machines, not all, but some, will not accept the 5400RPM drive, but will take the 4200RPM drive just fine. It's just weird because some that do are the exact same model, and I'm not real sure why it won't accept them. I've looked into it and the best that I can surmise is that 5400 is too fast for the reading system in the bios, or it's a power issue. Go with a 4200RPM drive and you shouldn't have any problem. You won't be able to tell any difference in the machine's performance between the two RPM speeds.

I have 3 Hard Disk Drives and my C one is full and the other two are not how do i mack them all one Hard Disk Drives?

"mack them all one Hard Disk Drive"? do you mean make them into one Hard disk drive?

if you have 3 "physical" Hard Disk Drives, im sorry but thats not possible

but if the 3 Hard Disk Drives are only partitioned you could use any partition manager software like Partition Magic or Acronis Disc Director suite to combine the 3 Hard disk partition into one...

hope this helps
