1. Take the battery out of the laptop & try to turn on the laptop using power adapter only. If the computer turns on, then the battery is defective & needs to be replaced.
2. Make sure the power adapter is not defective. Test the output voltage of the power adapter using a voltmeter. Compare the voltmeter reading to the nominal value written on the adapter or the laptop.
3. Make sure the DC jack is not loose or broken. A loose DC jack will need to be re-soldered. A broken one will need to be replaced.
4. If you have another processor which is compatible with your laptop's model, try swapping processors & test to see if the laptop will work.
5. The power button could be bad.
6. The motherboard could be defective & needs to be replaced.

DVD door will not open and eject DVD. It says it's opening on the screen but it does not open. DVD is stuck in there

Hello
Either its loading belt in the DVD mechanism, or its loading motor has damaged. It is common that the loading belt will get loos of break. Loading belt is a small belt fasted between loadin motor to loading gear mechanism. Replace the same first. You have to open your TV and pull out the DVD mechanism outside for repair. If replacement of loading belt doesn't help, loading motror is faulty, and should be replaced. OK.

Have musty smell coming from washing marchine

All front loads need to be left open if you leave for more than a day or so. Best fix is to run an EMPTY Hot load with bleach this will kill the mold then leave the door open to air dry between loads.

The disc tray will not open. The display shows "open" and it makes noise as if it is trying to open, but it doesn't.

There is a small loading belt that is slipping. The noise you hear is the loading motor. When in the loaded position, there is a "clamper" that magnetically attached to the hub assembly to clamp the disk in place. It takes quite a bit of force to open this up. If you feel comfortable working inside the unit, you can try to gently lift up on the clamper assembly while you are trying to open the tray. That may provide enough to release the tray to open. Replace the loading belt with a new one and your problem should be resolved.

Four loads are connected in series across 110 volt dc. the load fail to operate.a voltmeter connected in succession across each device read 0 across the first three loads and 110 volt across the fourth...

If you have four loads connected in series and after the first load you have 0 volts, it is not possible to have 110 volts at the fourth load. If you have four switches in series, and have the problem you are describing it means that your fourth switch is open, and therefore will not pass power to the actual load.

Note- voltmeters measure the difference in voltage between the two leads, so with the power on, if your meter reads 0, the switch is closed, with the leads on either side of the switch, and 110 means the switch is open. On the other hand if you touched one probe to ground, and checked voltage on each side of the switch, you would have 110 up to the switch that is open.

Hope this helps

DVD loading mechanism doesn't load completely that's why opens after attempt of loading.
You need to open top cover of unit and inspect loading belt might be lose, tray timing can be out of phase, some wire got stuck with tray while loading etc.
