Black tar balls in Kenmore model #665.13722K600

No, don't run Coca-Cola in it! I would call a repairman immediately - you may have a rubber hose that is disintegrating, and you dishwasher could start leaking seriously!

My throttle body on my Saturn SL2 is NASTY!! It's got about a 1/4 inch of black tar inside it. Could that be why it is smoking? I'm not losing any oil, antifreeze, or tranny fluid. It's a 1996...

That could be why: So little air may be getting through, that it is causing it to run very rich. First thing to do, while the engine is running, spray a little of that EFI cleaner down the throttle body. Then, IMMEDIATELY, shut the engine off (You don't want tar going INTO the engine). After that, try and get the throttle body off, and CAREFULLY scrape away the road ****. Don't damage the injectors. Clean it nice, and see if it runs a bit better. Best wishes, and I'm curious how it got so much build up! It could cause worse problems down the road if there is tar in the engine ...

I changed complete sump ,main control board, display board, and fixed wires that were broken in tar now it will not power up thanks wm.

Carefully compare your wiring with the wiring schematic on the dishwasher....there usually is a schematic right inside the kickplate cover in an envelope...

If you have power going to it and it is not wiring now then the power is not getting to the right plaes inside...

Just replaced seal for injectors. Have bled everything. Still no start 2004 2.7l dodge sprinter

Dave I had this same problem. I had to replace my injector seals. Two of them were leaking and creating a black tar ooz around the top of the injector. These 2 injectors were very hard to remove, and we had to use a puller to remove them. We were unable to start the vehicle after reinstalling everything...until, as a last resort, we purchased two new injectors to replace the ones we subjected to the pulling forces, and, Voila! It started right up. Hope this helps.

LE is a locked motor error. If the serial number on your unit starts with 712 or anything lower, then it is most likely a wiring issue inside the door.

If this is your case, call LG customer service at 800-243-0000 and have them refer to service bulletin # IDSW20070060. The door liner and the wiring harness will need to be replaced.

I have a 1E error code. Water supply is good to the machine. Not sure how to get to the filters. Don't want to break anything.

Ok found the filter in the front of machine, lower left hand corner. It was clean. Proceeded to remove front panel. But first turn of the power and I also turned of the water. Now I found that the wires from the wiring harness had imbedded themselves in the sound profing material. Its like a black thick tar. I guess during the drying cycle the tar heats up and the wires settle into the goo. As the door is opened and closed the wires are put under stress because they are now one with the door. I found a blue wire had broken. I soldered the wire and taped it. I also put waxed paper behind the wires to keep them from hooking up to the tar again. I will check that fix after a couple of months to see how the paper is faring. The machine works perfectly once again.

I have a wood burning stove fitted in our modern home. The stove has a vertical flue pipe fitted from the top and up through a purpouse built chimney liner in the ceiling. the lower parts of the system...

(1) The lower "enamel" pipe is possibly Ceramic coated pipe, used for high temperature flue applications.
(2) The "stickey black tar" is creasote. Whoever installed the flue pipe did it wrong. It needs to be reversed so that the "Crimped" end of the pipe is pointing down. That way the creasote will drain back into the stove and get burned up.

LE error code

Yes this certainly is a sticking point, the inside of the panel is coated with black insulation, when it heats up the wires stick in it and eventually the wires break. The fix is as stated, splice the broken wires together, as well take some of the white insulation and put it in between the wires and the liner.

The errors that can arise from the sticky wires are numerous, LE, IE, etc. EI though is more than likely a siphoning problem. If your unit is noisey during operation, open the door, what is the water level? It should be at the second rim. If not, that is your first clue that the unit is siphoning. Make sure you have your loop in the drain hose.
