Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W55 Digital Camera
Usually when you get this the card is the problem. Most of the time the actual cause will be just from it being in use when the device was shut down so it didn't finish properly. There is a little table called a file allocation table or FAT table that tells the device what and where the files are. The problem is that it is easily corrupted. It can happen by taking a bunch of pictures then shutting off the camera quick or yanking out the card. The cards do fail but not that often. If it is a card problem then this will happen more and more as the card gets worse.
The fix is just copy your pictures off the disk. Reformat the disk either in the camera or pc and that will fix it. If the reformat doesn't fix it then you may need to replace it.
