Just click the brake to the very first click. That is the easiest way. Your parking brake light will be on in the instrument panel on the dash. But will trick the computer.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

take car to nissan dealer, they will fix it possible for free, customer service is big with them, this car is not old, may need fuel & air filters changed, they will make it right. this car is too new for it to have any major problems, just do what I said, you'll be happy you did !!!!!!!

I have a 96 nissan maxima it won't go into park

Most likley problem is your brake light switch. go underneath the dash to the brake pedal and depending on wether you have cruise control or not ther will be one or two sensors there. the black sensor should be the brake light switch. disconnect and jump the connector with a paper clip and see if the brake lights comeon and the shifter will move.
