Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

My friend has a WD-65731 Mitsubishi; a week ago the image wouldn't come , so he unplugged the power cord, plugged it back and the image came. But, he wasn't able to turn it off from the remote any longer, so finally he unplugged the power cord again. Ever since, no more image. The green light will blink for over 1min, then turn off when we plug the power cord, and 60% of times we plug it we'd hear a "click" sound (probably one of the relays), but no image. Any idea?

Try this wait until the blinking stops and then press the button. if still not working replace the lamp and lamp ballast. before changing lamp make sure you clean the dust out using a compressed air.also clean the small fan over the lamp ballast.

Mitsubishi WD 65731 - where is the thermal sensor connection that sometimes needs to be resoldered?

does not need to be resoldered. needs to be changed! Any tech that is familiar with Mitsu would tell you that. It's behind the lamp area. Should be done by a Tv technician or you may never get it back together. But not expensive to repair. About $150 parts & labor.

Changing the lamp on a Mitsubishi DLP WD-65731, when trying to put back the cartridge, it semms that it does not go all the way in since the two screws do dot reach the nut.

Look inside the tunnel with alight see if the contact plug is straight. Sometimes this plug can get bent to the side a little.

the buzzing noise you are hearing is from the lamp ballast as it strikes the lamp. that is quite normal but it should only be momentary. it should not be constant.
