Question about Rheem 50 Gallon FVR NATGAS Water Heater 6YR 22V50F1
There should be no problem replacing a 50 gallon heater with a smaller size heater as long as the codes for your city/town allow it. You may also need to pull a permit for the installation, check with your municipality. Some codes state that a home with X square feet or whatever measurement they want to go by, will need at least a 50 gallon hot water heater. Obviously all installation instructions and codes apply to any new hot water heater installation.
