MY soundstream LiL Wonder 4.620 is only going in protection mode

Disconnect all speakers Meter power, remote, ground at amp, if all is good move on, if not check main fuses
Turn amp on; If in protect mode then your amp is toast Turn amp on, if not in protect mode then start reconnecting speakers one by one until your amp goes into protect mode, then you'll know which speaker is bad.

I have a 1000 watt sony explode mx-2165gtx and i have 2 12inch rockferd subs all hooked up in my truck. i turn on the sterio and turn it up just a little bit and it goes into protect mode i cant figure out...

Sounds like you're overloading the amp. Which rockford subs are they exactly? I can find the specs and see if theyre just too much for the amp or you just have to hook em up to the amp different so the amp wont go into protect mode

turnit it off complety, unplug, check for speaker cable shorts and then power backup, if it does it still get a service person to look at it, one of the main output power transistors could be faultiy on one of channels amps

My kenwood kvt 514 is in protect mode

It sounds like your amp is not grounded properly and is tryin to use your radio as a ground through the RCA's or there is a bad channel (dead short) in the amp.

Protection mood

Hello john_hart,

Check the speaker wiring too. If one of the speaker wires is shorted or grounded, the amp will go into protection mode.

Hope this helps.

Protection mode?

Disconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a protection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you have warranty. Double check your connections. .A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you. protection-mode-shonxoarcym4awy4zl1imx4o-2-0.jpg Lanzar

Amp keeps turning itself down - cant turn off 'protection'

yes, pls.stop plugging the system, you may harm your system if you do so,the system has it's own system analysis mode, and if there's something wrong in the circuitry,it will activate, you need the authorize service center my friend,it's a technical problem.

directed 1100 d turns on but no sound ok ive got a directed 1100d amp when i turn my system on the amp powers up then clicks stays on but doesn't put out anything if you leave it on for a while it will start to reverberate through the sub like its trying to play but never goes any further can anyone give me an idea what is wrong or an idea how to fix it? I have a Directed 1100d i was using it to power 4 12" woofers in my home ht setup, ive used other amps with good results. it worked fine but did have a slight hum from the woofers so i turned the gain down it seemed to help. So i used it for a few hors and then heard a light thump from my woofers when i went to check it out the 1100 was in protect mode and was really hot. I decided nto disconect it and leave it cool down, the next day i tried it with a single 10" sub it was no longer in protect mode light was geen but all i got out of it was hum from the woofer but no music. The ht woofers are rated at about 4 ohms a pair I also opened it up and there was no signs of any blowen or discolored components. I then proceeded to check the output transistors with a digital meter they seem ok, the amp also has 4 what they call fast response diodes with 3 leggs the 2 outside leggs short out but im not sure if they are suppose to or not.the numbers on the diodes which actually look like transistors are 2ea YG225N2 and YG225C2 ive surched the web but havent come up with a way to properly test them any help would be great thanks.
