Question about Washing Machines
Your water level sensor is faulted, or it could be the water level selector switch. Next time it happens, try rotating the water level selector between load sizes. If the machine then starts to agitate, then you are looking at a bad switch. If rotating between load sizes doesn't do anything else, then it could be the switch AND/OR the level sensor. The water level function locks out the motor (agitate / spin) until level requirement has been satisfied.
