My Wife recently added a new Email account to our Outlook Express. Now, I get her name on my emails. What did we do wrong?

Cause for this error is generally The client is trying to use Secure Password Authentication and it is not enabled on the Exchange Server computer. To verify what form of authentication the Outlook Express client is using, in Outlook Express, on the Tools menu, click Accounts, and click the Server tab for the account that failed.

Also when your adding the 19 to the email it is creating a whole new email. So if you created the new email. then please refer to this link

Cannot receive email.


If you can send but cannot receive:

Step1: Double Check your Incoming Mail (POP3) settings.

To Double Check your Outlook/Outlook Express Settings:
  • - Open Outlook/Outlook Express
  • - Click on Tools -> Accounts
  • - Click on Mail tab - you'll see the list of email accounts that are set-up
  • - to view info and settings for each email account, double click on an email account.
  • - Click (highlight) the extra or duplicate email accounts that you are not using and click on Remove button (on the right)
  • - Click on General tab, Servers tab, Advanced tab, accordingly and check your Outlook settings against the following examples:
Step2: A common mistake: For Servers setting (Servers tab), -> Account Name make sure that you use the full email address and not just the first part of the email address - for example: janedoe@comentum.com and not just "janedoe"
  • - Login to your Web Mail and Delete any suspicious email that can block your Mailbox. (emails that have no "From" or corrupted spam emails can cause Outlook/Outlook Express to hang.

This is a Microsoft Outlook Express PRINTING problem I have outlook express 6 for my email program. I have a PC with Windows XP. My wife and I have individual email accounts. Recently I can not print...

How to set new e-mail address for my outlook express default


Setting up new email accounts in Outlook Express - 10 Steps Without further ado, let us look at the steps which we need to follow for setting up an email account in Outlook Express.
Note: When you open Outlook Express for the first time, you might be asked if you want to set it as a default email client on your system. Make sure you answer in the affirmative.
  1. Start Outlook Express. Click on Tools in the menu bar and then go to Accounts

  2. This brings up the Internet Accounts pop-up window. Click on the Mail tab, to bring it to the front if it is not already so. If you are starting Outlook Express for the first time, there would not be any email accounts listed on this window.

  3. To add a new mail account, click on the Add button and then on Mail as shown in the image below.

  4. This brings up the Internet Connection Wizard pop-up window. Enter your name in the Display Name field and click on the Next button.

  5. The wizard now asks for your email address. Enter the full email address and click on the Next button.

  6. In the next window, you need to feed in three important bits of information - the incoming and outgoing email servers and the type of the incoming email server.
    It is likely that the incoming email server is POP3. The incoming and outgoing email servers can be yourdomain.com, mail.yourdomain.com or any other value depending on how the email server has been configured.
    If you are a beginner, you might not know what the incoming and outgoing servers mean. It is not important at this stage to know the meaning; you simply need to know their values. Call up your I.S.P. and ask them to provide the information.
    I know that the email accounts at my domain www.BiotechDesk.com are all POP3. Additionally, the incoming and outgoing email servers are the same - biotechdesk.com.

  7. The last information that you need to enter to complete the setup of the new account is the username and password for that email account. These login details would have been given to you by your ISP or you would have set these online using a control panel.
    After completing the fields for Account Name and Password, click on the Next button.

  8. In the following window, click on the Finish button to complete the process of setting up a new email account in Outlook Express.

  9. You will now see the new email account has been added to the Accounts list. The account is referred by its server name.

  10. To compose a new email click on the Create Mail button or click on Messages - New Message. This opens a blank email for you. Enter the senders email address, subject and the matter.
    When you have composed your email, click on the File - Send Message. The email will be sent and a copy stored in the Sent Items folder.
You can create several email accounts in Outlook Express. So if you have 6 email accounts on your web site, you can set up all these.
As I mentioned in point #9 (above), Outlook Express will refer to an email account by its server name. So if you have several email accounts on your domain, they would be referred to as yourdomain.com(1), yourdomain.com(2) etc. (or something similar). To make this more user friendly, Outlook Express gives you the option of changing these values.
Open the Internet Accounts pop-up once again by clicking on Tools and then Accounts. Make sure the Mail tab is in the front. Double-click on the account name. This brings up the Properties window of that account. Enter any descriptive name in the first field, as shown in the image below.

How can we use the outlook express 6 to check


Open Microsoft Outlook and from the "Tools" menu select "Email Accounts." The email account wizard will pop up.
Choose "Add a new email account" from the list of options and click the "Next" button. Then, select "HTTP" and hit "Next" again. Now you are ready to input information about your Hotmail account.
Select "Hotmail" from the drop down menu at the right. Enter the name that you want to associate with this account in the "Your Name" field. This is the name that appears when you send someone an email from Outlook.
Input your Hotmail email address in the "Email Address" field. Your user name will automatically be filled in when you do this.
Provide the password to your Hotmail account in the "Password" field. Put a check mark in the check box below if you would like for Outlook to remember your password. This will save you from having to enter your password every time you download your Hotmail email with Outlook.
Hit the "Finish" button to complete the setup of your Hotmail account. Now, when you select "Send and Receive" Outlook will synchronize with Outlook. Too see your Hotmail email, select "Inbox in Hotmail" from your list of mail folders.

I am trying to fix my mums e-mail have set up outlook express mail comes in fine but will not send have checked the smtp its correct she is on ntlworld.com


* First of all you need to open Outlook Express on your PC. There are two ways in which you can do this. The simplest way is to find the Outlook Express icon on your desktop, and click it. Alternatively, you may click on the Start button located on your taskbar, then Programs and finally you will need to locate Outlook Express and click on that. If a dialog box appears asking for your name, click cancel.
* When Outlook Express has opened, locate and click on the Tools menu.
* A dropdown menu will appear. Click on Accounts.
* Now click on Add and then Mail.
* You will see a Display Name box. The name that you type in here will be visible to recipients of your emails. You may like to type your real name in this box, or you may wish to type another name.
* You now just need to click the Next button.
* You will now see an E-Mail Address box. Type the email address in here of the account that you wish to retrieve mail from. This must, obviously, be an email address that belongs to you.
* Click Next again.
* ow you need to enter the server names for your incoming and outgoing mail. For ntlworld email accounts, these are pop.ntlworld.com and smtp.ntlworld.com. Enter these in the two boxes marked pop and smtp.
* Again, just click Next.
* You now need to place some information in the Account Name and Password boxes. Your account name is the name in front of the @ntlworld.com part of your email address. Enter your password.
* Please ensure that the Remember Password box is ticked and then click Next.
* You have now entered all of the information needed to set up an email account through Outlook Express.
* Click Finish, and then close the Internet Accounts window.

(Outlook Express) Email is not configured to relay mail to address
Try this settings:

Outlook Express
  1. Click Tools then Accounts
  2. Click Mail
  3. Click Properties
  4. Click Servers
  5. In the Account Name field, it should be the first part of your email address (probably it's like this already).
  6. Put a checkmark by My Server Requires Authentication at the bottom of the page.
  7. Click Settings
  8. Select Log on Using
    • Type Account Name (which will be your full email address)
    • Type Password (which will be your email address password)
  9. Click Apply
  10. Click OK
  11. Click Close
This should fix the Outlook Express to send email, close Outlook Express and re-open it to start sending mail.

Microsoft Outlook
  1. Click Tools then Email Accounts (Accounts and Services on older versions of Outlook)
  2. Click View and Change and Click Next (skip if it opens up to the account screen)
  3. Click Change or Properties of your Email Account
  4. Click More Settings
  5. Click Outgoing Server
  6. Check My Server Uses Authentication
  7. Select Log on Using
    • Type Account Name (which will be your full email address)
    • Type Password (which will be your email address password)
  8. Click OK
  9. Click Next
  10. Click Finish

This should fix the Outlook to send email. Close Outlook and re-open it to start sending mail.

Can one only use Outlook Express for email attachment with HP Scan Jet G3110


If Outlook Express is your "preferred Email", when you email a scanned image, it is sent by Outlook Express. The sender's name displayed is the user listed in the Outlook Express (whose User name is used to get into the Outlook Exp).
If anyone else want to send it in their name:
This is what you have to do:
Save the scanned image somewhere in the computer.
Goto your Yahoo mail, or Hotmail or Google mail (create a free account if you don't have your own email account) and send the scan as an attachment. Hope this will work for you.

remove the incoming account settings from outlook express > tools > Accounts > Mail > Prpertes under advanced tam remove the incoming port numers

work arround if you want to recieve mail
