Sounds like your graphics card is not working, If you tried two different monitors its usually the card, is it onboard of an aftermarket card,

Howdy, you will have to go into the video settings and select an external monitor. It's a little annoying at first with a laptop, but it gets easier with repetition.

they all come with two cables. blue being vga, white being dvi cable. you only need to plug the blue into both ends (computer and into the monitor) and turn on. If it is still not working how many video cards are there on the computer? Do you have it plugged into the right spot and is it tight on both ends?

Monitr compatibility

That will plug right in. Your existing monitor has a VGA connection, which matches what you have on this monitor (where it plugs in on the back of the computer you will find a blue connector). Just put this one in it's place.

The industry is moving to DVI, which is a long white connector, but monitors are still coming with the VGA connection anyway. This monitor is DVI capable which means it will be great for your next computer, but you will need to buy the DVI cable separately (not today, but when you eventually get a new computer).

Based upon the Operating System you can change the aspect ratio from 19:9 to 4:3. In windows you can right click anywhere on the free space on your desktop once the menu pop-up click on properties and then setting. once the window open choose the different resolution.

Monitor going to stand bye as soon as turned on

  1. Make sure your monitor is properly connected to your CPU VGA ie the screw are tight and the cable is not damaged
  2. reduce down the setting of your screen resolution to those specified for your LCD or just low settings like 600*800
  3. To do that you use your old monitor and on the desktop right click and select properties and under the settings tab select to reduce the settings to native settings or any low screen resolution
  4. Restart your PC with your LCD connected back

ACER LCD monitor no image, appears white color only

Quickly go to the Acer website and check FAQ's and while there also find out how to get an RMA to return it. My guess is you have a bad monitor. At $200 roughly for a replacement I would hustle. I am assuming you got nothing but a white screen but did get video on your TV.

No Signal

Probably the settings on the computer graphics card output.
You need to selct the external screen.

Just to be sure it's not a screen fault, are you able to test it on another PC (desktop, not laptop)?
