Hello,

There are a few possible could cause this. First, the fuser assembly may be damaged or at the end of its life. The solution is to replace the fuser assembly. Repairing a fuser assembly is generally not recommended because the fuser is considered a consumable printer part and not worth the time or effort to fix. Second, the toner cartridge may be defective and letting too much toner out at one time. In a black-and-white laser printer, the solution is to replace the toner cartridge.

Take care.

Getting a false error message that the ink/toner is empty and wastebin is full when i print to my phaser 8860 from a macbook on 10.6 (networked printer)

The waste bin full error can occur if the waste bin was not removed from the machine for over 10 seconds when it was emptied. Please remove the waste bin and wait for a full 10 to 20 seconds before replacing the Waste bin.

If the message still displays turn off the machine and leave it off for 1 minute then turn the machine back on.

Then run software update to make sure you have the latest OS updates.

Then delete the printer and re-add the printer.

Ink tray full what to do

'ink tray full' - no references found on the following site:
http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/printers_multifunction/pixma_mp_series/pixma_mp150_refurbished#ServiceAndSupport

Usually on a laser printer (which this is not) there is a waste toner bottle that fills up with waste toner. But, I am unaware of it being this way on your mp150.

p.108 of the user manual says that the waste ink absorber must be replaced if you get an error 1700 with a Mac.
Press 'OK' to continue printing until the waste ink absorber is really saturated or filled, and the printer will not print until it is replaced.

Warning: I didn't see the part listed, though, so you may be looking at another printer to replace this one if you can't resolve the issue.

Good luck on this repair.

Need to clean waste ink pad on epson r265 printer

You need to remove the Paper support tray, printer cover front cover usb housing and right and left housing then remove the waste ink tray inside the tray you will find about 12 pads that need taking out you can just replace them with new ones or wash and dry them and re-install them the latter is very messy then refitt everything and then you will need the service utility to restet the printer If you need further help email me at drummerboy36uK@yahoo.com or try me on msn messenger using thedrummerboy53@hotmail.com

Waste tray message will not leave display panel even though tray is empty

You will most likely have to remove ( looking at the machine from the front) left cover and clean out some spilled ink from the waste tray sensor.
You have to remove one screw from the back top of the cover, then the top front of the cover. Lift up and out on the cover to release the tabs and pop the cover off. Then have someone slide the waste tray in and out so you can locate where that tray seats into the sensor.
Most of the time, some ink spills into that area in the back of the waste tray, and blocks it from sliding all the way in.

Printer error 07,007.40:80035

Xerox 2424 or 8400 series 07,007.40/49 is a process motor sequence error often caused by the printhead leaking wax on to the pivot shaft and bearing block mounted on the left side of the printhead unit, this stops the printhead tilting. Check for leaking wax around the silver block on the side of the printhead or around the waste tray, if wax gets into the tilt gear at the back of the waste tray slot, this is the error it shows.

You don't have to take all the printer apart just the ink loader. Which is held mostly by the side covers. Get a flat head and break down the peaces left over on the cyan ink and flip upside down the ink loader and that should make it work again with no problem.

Power button and tear drop button contstantlt flashing

This usually means the Waste Ink Pads in your printer are saturated with ink and the waste ink "protection" counter has exceeded its limit. You can restore your printer to a working condition immediately by using the SSC utility - download from:

http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml

Install it, and double click the ssc printer icon in the bottom right corner (System Tray). Choose Configuration and set your printer type, then close the ssc window. Now right click the ssc icon in the sytem tray and choose Protection Counter. Check the current count value - if it is greater than the limit shown it will confirm this is your problem. Then choose reset to set it to zero. You will need to fib about having changed the waste ink pads! Turn the printer off then back on again. This will stop the lights flashing and restore normal operation.

However, remember that eventually ink will overflow from the waste ink area and make a dreadful mess, so you must change the waste ink pads before this happens. This requires the disassembly of the printer.

If you decide to have a go at replacing the ink pads yourself, report back and I will provide further help. It is not too difficult once someone explains how to get the case apart!

Blurry Printing

Quite possibly, your Wave Amp board has failed. If so, it is more cost effective to purchase a new printer than to repair yours unless you can find used parts.

Currently, Xerox is offering a trade-up rebate on new solid ink printers.

Both the power light and maintenance lights are blinking.

If both lights are flashing, it usually means the Waste Ink Pads in your printer are saturated with ink and the waste ink "protection" counter has exceeded its limit. You can restore your printer to a working condition immediately by using the SSC utility - download from:

http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml

Install it, and double click the ssc printer icon in the bottom left corner (System Tray). Choose Configuration and set your printer type (C4x), then close the ssc window. Now right click the ssc icon in the system tray and choose Protection Counter. You should see that the current count is above the limit; then choose reset to set it to zero. You will need to fib about having changed the waste ink pads!

It is a pretty simple job once someone explains how to get the case apart!
