Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

My imagelink printer has been printing just fine! Then, all of a sudden, it only prints the bottom of the picture and leaves the middle and top blank. What could be the problem?

    I'm sorry, I failed to mention that I did purchased and replaced the printer cartridge and it still did the exact same thing. I don't remember downloading printer drivers to this printer nor do I have and cds to install the drivers from. Nevertheless, I will see if there is a way, I can connect this printer to the computer and download drivers from the internet.

This sounds like a driver / software issue. What program are you using to print from? Right from the internet for example? Or maybe MS word?

Let me know and I can give you some steps to try here. The first thing to do though is to uninstall the printer drivers and software, redownload the latest ones from the Brother website and reinstall them. Please let me know if you need more detail on how to do this.

Hello,

There are few possible reasons that can cause this, is either the driver on your system is corrupt or the ink/toner on your printer cartridge is low or not evenly distributed.

Uninstall the printer driver from your system and reinstall back after uninstalling, also, remove the printer ink/cartridge, see if there is still much ink in it, if it is, shake very well to allow evenly distribution of the ink, if the ink/toner is low, replace it. This should fix the problem.

it is probably set to print a certine size of the photo, can you do a print preview before printing and see what that looks like, then check all your print settings.

Printer only prints the middle of the text, leaving the bottom and top part blank


Try changing cartridges to see if you have the same problem. Also, try a good cleaning of the print head.

My HP Photosmart suddenly started blobbing out ink.


Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

My printer has suddenly started printing terrible quality photos


I discovered I had switched photo paper in the process. The new paper obviously isn't compatible with this printer. I went and purchased more of my regular paper and the pictures began printing well again.

Is your transfer roller clean?
How does the drum look on the toner cart?
Is the fuser getting bad?

Would you consider this an old image that is ghosting?
