When you bought it the processor and the memory were a step down compared to the video card. Now, they are all completely outdated - some modern game will not run at all the others will run only at the lowest settings and even then at miserable resolutions and refresh rates.
You need a new pc, from scratch.

Display is fuzzy with barcode like images across the screen at regular intervals.


Video corruption caused by a failed video memory chip. There's nothing that can be done to save it, the card is dead, replace it.

Graphic Card Change


My opinion, the video card your going to change to would be a bit better cause it has more memory on it. Anytime you can get a video card that has more memory means it can process the information quicker so gameplay should be smoother.
