Hi there, my Zanussi oven won't switch on. There is power to it as the cloxk is flashing but the oven itself doesn't switch on.

Try to find the circuit breaker for the oven and see if it "popped".

Claire. Have you checked the cooker supply switch? (Usually on the wall near the cooker) If it has a neon light is this on? If not or no neon check the circuit fuse/mcb in the fuseboard. Allan Pointer.

try resoldering that connection on the board probably loose.

Bottom oven is directly linked to the clock, If the clock is on but not set ie 0:00 or 12:00 flashing it won't work, set the time (doesn't have to be right, just not flashing) try oven again. If this is not the problem please contact me again and we'll look further. Cheers

I have a Zanussi ZCE7550, but apart from that I'm in exactly the same predicament as you in the post you made on Sep 18, 2010...

Have you checked that the timer clock is set and not flashing,because the rest of the cooker will work after power outage but for the main/fan oven to work the clock needs resetting.

you need to set clock before oven will work. do you still have instruction book as it will tell you there how to do it

Gently but firmly pull one of the other buttons out and use that to reset it... you can buy new buttons on ebay

there is a casing stat which senses overheat. this can be due to lack of ventilation if a built-in type or a fault with the fan
