LD is long Drain.

You'll need to crawl underneath and disconnect the hoses to check the traps for obstructions.
Have a pan handy to catch the water.

What do you mean "crawl underneath"? Is it best to tilt the machine back and prop it up while removing the cover plate underneath? Or would it be best to lay the machine on it's side to get at the access cover for removal then check for blockages.

Why is my kenmore elite he3 coming up on screen f05

The "F05" error code is indicating a Water Temperature Sensor Error. Does it take long time for the water to get hot when you initially start it? If the water is cold entering the tub when hot water or warm water is selected it possibly could cause the error. It only makes sense because after you cancel the cycle and restart the washer it does OK because the cold water has been purged.

There is a thermistor located on the heating element mounting bracket which is used to monitor the water temperature. The heating element w/thermistor will be located on the lower back portion of the tub. You might find a loose wire connection on the thermistor. You will need to remove the rear panel to access the heater and thermistor. You will need an ohm meter to measure the resistance of the thermistor. See images below for specifications.

NOTE: Disconnect the power cord before removing the rear panel.

If during the water heating step in the wash cycle, the water temperature sensor (NTC) value is out of range, the "F/05" error code will be displayed.

Potential Causes:

Check the Water Temperature Sensor

Check connections to the Water Temperature Sensor

I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your washer.

Kenmore Oasis HE 27082 Displays "LD" error falsely

Hello,

Since that you let repairman do twice and didn't fixed the problem, I think your washer have still warranty from the vendor. and they repair it free.

Please verify the panel board of the machine maybe got grounded in the wiring or got wet. How ever you can do that in your own you should consult the repairman on that matter. however the two repairman did not resolve, so its better to bring the washer's to the vendor. im sure they can fix the issue or you will be enlightened by their valuable suggestion and solution.

may this help

Had a LD error and successfully cleared clog in waste water tank. Turned it on and pump worked perfectly to pump out water. Started a new cycle to test everything and things went wrong. First, the tub...

If the water keeps filling with the unit unplugged you have a bad water valve(or low house pressure)
If the unit does stop filling when unplugged you have a plugged pressure hose to the pressure switch or a bad pressure switch. To access you peel back the front emblem to remove a screw in the center. This allows you to raise the top to check the pressure hose. You can also find the end of the hose at the control panel to blow through it, should be clear when tub is empty of water. A hole in the pressure hose would also cause flooding. This hose connects from the bottom of the outer tub to the pressure switch in the console to control the water level in the tub. Unit will not turn on drain pump if it does not sense water in the tub......
good luck......

My washer stops at the spin cycle. The LD code

“F21” (AKA SD) is a Long (SLOW) Drain error (LD). If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a “SUDS” error may also be displayed. This may be an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:

1.First, attempt to unplug the washer for at LEAST 30 minutes to reset the Central Control Unit (CCU). Sometimes this is all that is required to correct momentary glitches with the unit. If the error code returns, proceed to step 2.
2.Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
3.Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
4.Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.
To check the drain pump, click on the following link for step-by-step instructions

If the above procedures do not correct the problem, it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the drain pump.

To check the drain pump...

If you experience a problem where the washer does not drain properly or the drain pump makes excessive noise, here's the information you need to check the drain pump:

Symptom: PUMP IS RUNNING, BUT NOT DRAINING PROPERLY.

1. Unplug the washer while servicing inside the unit.
2. Remove the lower kick panel under the door by removing the three 7mm screws under the bottom edge of the panel. HINT: Use a couple of blocks of wood to prop up the front feet of the washer to gain better access to the screws. Once the screws are removed the panel should drop down, and then pull off. If the panel becomes stuck, a slight tap on either side will dislodge it.
3. Locate the drain pump. It will be located directly under the wash tub (it is the only pump this washer has).
4. There is an access removal cover on the pump that can be removed to clean out the trap. BEFORE doing this, it is strongly recommended that you remove all residual water from the wash tub & drain line or you will have about a gallon or so inside your washer and on the floor to clean up.
5. Here's a helpful way of quickly removing the residual water. If you own a wet/dry shop vac, remove the drain hose from the standpipe at the wall and pull a vacuum with the shop vac. This will empty the wash tub, pump and drain lines. If you don't own a shop vac, grab a bunch of old towels and open the access on the pump slowly so that it comes out at a trickle. Allow the towels to soak up the majority of the water. Close the access and stop the water if you need to get additional towels.
6. Open the pump access and remove once you have all the water drained. Check the drain pump for foreign objects and debris. Check the pump impeller and make sure there's nothing caught in it. Items as small as toothpicks or cotton swabs have been known to stop this pump from working.
7. Clean out the pump thoroughly and reinstall the access cover. Make sure the cover is snug, but do not over tighten.
8. Place the drain hose back in the standpipe (IMPORTANT - DO NOT FORGET!).
9. With the bottom panel still off, plug the washer back in and select the following on the operator console - DRAIN SPIN, NO SPIN, and then press any button under OPTIONS 4 times (it must be the same button). "C00" will show on the console display as the washer begins diagnostics mode.
10. Check the drain pump for leaks as the washer fills. The pump is gravity filled and will hold water even it is not pumping. Allow washer to run through diagnostics until it begins the wash tub tumble cycle.
11. At this point, you can stop the diagnostics procedure by pressing PAUSE/CANCEL 2 times. The drain pump energizes and the washer will begin to drain.
12. If the drain pump works normal and there are no leaks detected, reinstall the bottom panel and tighten screws.

NOTE: It is normal to have residual water left inside the wash tub under the wash basket. This is why it is important to leave the door ajar when not in use so this water does not become sour.

Code LD

Here we go the problem probably lies in the holding tank tub. So far found one baby sock, clumps of lint, latest underwire from daughters bra. Easy to work on machine. Will need a 2nd person for 1st part of repair. Have a small bucket ready,(I used a empty kitty litter container) 1)Disconnect electric cord, 2)Disconnect water hose's to machine. pull out drain.3)(Will need a 5/16th socket.) Pull out washer remove back panel.(2 screws) 4) Tilt back washer (towards control panel) 5) Remove bottom access panel (3 screws). 6) With a pair of plyers pull back metal clip on hose leading to pump. (this is where all water left in washer will come out.) 7) Remove clip on return hose from pump. 8) Pump is held on by 2 clips, push them back to remove pump. Once a water is drained you should be able to see any objects in the tub area, you can also now place the washer on it's side.WATER MAY STILL COME OUT HAVE A TOWEL OR 2 READY. Check pump for damage. Remove any/all debris (Used a set of hemostats.)(Rubber balls are suppost to be in there.DON'T DAMAGE THEM.) Once everything looks to be removed. Reverse steps reattach hoses, pump, etc. before replacing access panels Use the Express Wash Option to see if all works well. If it does, reattach access panels, and start washing!!
