Hi!

if your referring to the screen resolution of your screen, here;s how you can set it..

for Windows 7
- right click on a empty space on your desktop wallpaper, click PERSONALIZE
- or click START menu, type PERSONALIZATION on the start search box, then click it
- a windows will open, at the Bottom Left of it click DISPLAY
- then on the TOP LEFT, click Adjust Resolution
- look for the Drop down for the resolution, you can select the recommended option or whichever is best for your eyes..

hope this helps!

What happens when you change the display resolution setting? Maybe the program was written for a different resolution, so the pixels are the wrong size. That may account for the misbehavior, and very likely the menu issue. To change display resolution, open System Preferences... from the Apple menu, then click on Displays. Try a higher resolution (bigger numbers, e. g, 1280 x 854)) first if that is available. This may scale the menu and play area to their intended sizes.

The Disks runs fine, never have any problems loading ANYTHING on it but when it loads PS1 Games the screen setting becomes quite odd. You dont see the whole screen (game screen) thus game play options dont...

It's not due to the compression at all. It's due to the limitations of the Snoy emulator. PS1 games output to 640×480 pixels (I'm using NTSC here, adjust if you live in PAL areas), but the PSP's screen is 480x272. In order to prevent weird streching, Sony desided to cut the screen size in half. So, the output of the ps1 emu is 320x240, exactly the same size that you see on your psp screen.

If you want to play with the streching, hit the home button, and under "Settings" you can adjust the screen size. Here is what the options do, as far as I know.
  • Fullscreen-changes the output full screen. "Letterboxes" (i.e., small black bars) it a bit to fit the 16x9 ratio.
  • Original-the 320x240 I just discribed above.
  • Normal-Streaches it a bit, and smooths out the picture
  • Zoom-Streches the picture even futher so that the width is equal to the width of the screen size.
Mind you, none of these modes ever make the emulator output a "better" picture with more pixels defined. They are all just streching of the 320x240 screen. I think this is because the psp is at it's limits, and rendering the extra pixels would lag the game too much.

If it's what I think it is, it's a very common occurrence. Don't worry about it, first of all.

All you need to do is right-click on your desktop and go to your display settings. Then change the pixels x pixels to a higher setting. Then click apply. Accept those settings and it should be better.

To explain, when you play a game, it is shown in a certain resolution. But the game changes your computer's resolution so that the game will display correctly. Sometimes, it doesn't change back. It's not a bad thing, but it IS a little inconvenient.

If this does not work, let me know!

Changeing resolution

On the back of the camera, push "Menu."
A menu screen comes up.

The first option is the one you're looking for:
"Image Size."

UNDER that option, the first sub-option is "8 M," the next is "3:2," the next is "5 M" and so on. That "M" is "Mega Pixels, or "million pixels." The size of the file will be measured in megapixels, and each "pixel" requires 3 Bytes of memory to define it. (A "pixel" is like one tile in a mosaic tile image.)

You change the options and sub-options in the menu by using the round donut-shaped control on the camera back. On the outside of the "donut" there are arrowheads pointing Up, Down, Left and Right. When you push the donut in the spot next to an arrowhead, you go whichever way the arrowhead points. Up goes through the MAIN options, right/left takes you through the SUB-options under the main option.

Change from a lower file size to a higher one by going left and right through the "Image Size" sub-menu. The biggest file size is "8 M" and I suspect the smallest is at the extreme opposite side of the list.

Someone apparently set your camera, maybe before you bought it, to a file size that is as small as possible, so you could fit the maximum number of pictures in the camera. But to get a better image for printing, you need to change to something with more pixels!
