2 Answers

Last night with I turned on my Dell inspiron 1525 notebook..the screen when white and shut down...I turned it back on and it kept going throught this routine over and over..I was able to keep it on long enough to get my picture off it...this morning when I opened it and pushed the power button to turn it on ...I got nothing..no power, no lights, nothing...I removed the power cord and battery and reconnected them and still nothing......lights out and no one home.....I have had it for 2 years and I am a graphic designer and had it specially built...just for the work I do..now I have a piece of junk that cost me over 1,500.00 dollars and still making payments. Does anyone have an answer to what might be wrong with it....

Mines did the same thing. I noticed only one of the lights at the bottom left corner (my left) was on so I took of the key board and noticed the cord thing (sorry I'm not technical) that ran from the direction of the lights to the main board was not pushed in all the way.
what my computer was doing
power came on, the lights at the top lit up, fan ran then stopped, I heard the cd reader spinning for a few seconds, my screen was black, and bios did not run so windows could not open. Some times it started long enough for me to log in and open a window then it would die, and come on agiain and die, and battery would not charge.

Here are some troubleshooting steps: like before remove the battery and the AC adapter, then connect just the AC, see if the LED on the adapter goes out or stays on. If it goes out, see if another adapter (known good is available) or see if you can try one at Bestbuy or such. If the system powers on, then replace the AC adapter.
If no power with a known good AC adapter, then the failure is likely the motherboard or the power board. You can try the powerboard 1st

My Dell Inspiron 1525 is stuck in "hybernation." It will not let me "control, alt, delete" and I've even tried removing and reinstalling the battery. Help! Thank you!

Press and hold down the power button until the computer shuts off. Then wait at least ten seconds and power it back on.
While it is booting up and you see the Dell logo on the screen, press and hold the F8 button. When the next screen appears, you will see a list of options for how you would like to continue the boot up process. Highlight the option titled "last known good configuration" and press enter. Your computer will restart and load up with all of the settings previously used before it began giving you problems.

My computerr was working fine last night I turned it on today and dell media home came up then it goes to a blue screen that reads a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent...

Driver or software update that was incompatible can cause this, try to boot to F8 and run a disk check.
Also failing ram can cause this, check the ram modules using Mem test

boot computer when it first starts up push F8 for advance menu. in advance menu select last known good configuration. hit enter . if the computer ges to desk top do a system restore . to before the issue started. if this fails you will need the windows disk to do a system repair. your configuration may be corrupted.
