Question about HP OfficeJet Pro K8600 Printer

Open Question

HP K8600...yellow cartridge won't stay in. It pops in fine, but as soon as a print job is queued it pops out again. I've tried to forcibly hold it in but no luck. Consequently the printer won't print anything. I've tried 2 new cartridges to rule out cartridge failure...same problem. Please advise, and thanks in advance!

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: Print jobs are not getting queued.

This is late but most likely the IP address is set to DHCP or auto and the printer is changing the IP address.
You need to set it to manual, and set the IP address static.
Those machines will change the IP address by itself.
Sometime even when you have set it manually it will change back to auto.

SOURCE: Cartridge errors on HP97 / bad TSR?

Hi Scott -

Sorry, I do not have any additional ideas as it seems you have checked things I would have suggested - cleaning the contacts. (I presume you did clean the cartrdige contacts in addition to the printer contacts.) The TSR may be correct but may be encoded incorrectly, which could cause an issue as this would make the printer "think" the cartridge was too hot or too cold. The printer will refuse to print with certain ID errors. A 10-tap will bypass this test as a diagnostic aid. Does the 10-tap show a "good" nozzle diagnostic? If there are repeating missing nozzle segments across all three colors it would indicate an interconnect issue.

If the cartridges are original HP cartridges I would check the warranty date (two years warranty from date of manufacture) as shown here. If the cartridges are still in the warranty period contact HP for replacements.

Have you tried running an independent printer check - see

http://files.support.epson.com/htmldocs/sc88__/sc88__ug/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm

If the printer prints the test page OK, it means the problem is with the computer. If it were a PC, I would uninstall, reboot and then re-install the driver software. Maybe this will work with a Mac?

SOURCE: 4315 Hp Printer will not align.

restart your printer like this: go to control panel>
performance and maintenance>administrative tools> services> scroll down until you come to print spooler, click on this then on the upper side of your screen you will see restart, click on it.
This should get you up and running. Shame on your repair man for not showing you how to fix the problem.
You could even try not aligning the cartridges, this will just cause your printer to spit out an alignment page each time you turn it on but still should go ahead and print for you.
let me know how if this helps.

Printer won.t print ..... Before it stop printing it was throwing out a page that I was printing and wouldn't stop.

Go to the printers folder; Control panel/printers and there right click on the printer icon and select open. You should see some print jobs queued up. delete them, restart the system and try to print again. If this doesn't work, Go to the printers folder; Control panel/printers and there right click on the printer icon and select properties. In the pop up menu go to the advanced tab and look for hold mismatched documents and uncheck its box. If you do not find it under the advanced tab, skip through all the tabs to see which one has the "hold mismatched documents" option and uncheck it and click OK to exit. Now try to print again.

Good luck & god bless!

Delayed printing

Your problem lies in the vista software. This is a common problem where Vista cannot often read the software drivers quick enough or are not compatible which makes it not work properly. My advice would be to get rid of vista and go back to XP, it was much more compatible with everything. Problem could also be in the cable. Make sure they are plugged in nice and snug. Cheers.

For some reason my HP Officeject Pro K8600 is reading empty yellow ink cartridge even after I replace it. I have replaced the cartridge several times with a new cartridge but it still won't work. Why? ...

The mount that holds the spring for the yellow ink cartridge pump arm in the service station is probably broken. You will have to replace the ink-service station.
