Question about Saeco Odea Go

1 Answer

It is a new Saeco Odea Go machine. Every time I turn it on the indicator lights flash up and down successively and a half inch of water comes out of the coffee spout. The light is then in the ready position and I can make a cup of coffee. I know this is not normal. What's going on? thanks

What will the machine do when you turn it on? The green light will start flashing for warming up phase. When it reaches the working temperature, all the lights start flashing in anticlockwise direction and the brew group moves up and start pumping water to rinse the system.Of course half an inch of water will come out from the spout. That is normal.

campbellfam5, when you buy a machine that is a little more complex than a wheel... you HAVE to read the user's manual^^... and at least when you get your inevitable first problem, and before asking for some help on the internet. If you don't read the manual, how the hell can you "know this is not normal"... Just by your own mind and perfect knowledge??... The process you mention is clearly described word to word in the basics of the manual as a perfectly normal process. A process that will occur each time you TURN OFF your machine and ON again, but won't after a simple stand-by. I'm afraid your machine won't last long, because there is also some basic maintenance mentioned in the manual as well... and luck won't be enough this time...

Right red light is blinking all the time

Alarm LED:
• Permanently on (one or more causes): No coffee left, water tank is empty, empty the residual water
tray is full (in this case the dreg drawer also has to be emptied to prevent problems).
• Flashing slowly (one or more causes): Brewing unit is missing, dreg drawer has not been inserted,
coffee container cover has not been inserted, service door is open, rotary knob for opening the hot
water / steam is not in the right position.
• Flashing rapidly:Ventilate the water system

With the steam spout turned on, no steam is ejected, alarm light

Does water comes out when turn on the knob? If it is, try making steam, it should come out also. Make sure the knob is turned fully.Probably the seals in the valve is jamming and preventing the knob to turn fully.

I have a new Saeco Odea Giro Coffee Machine and have turned it on for the first time. I followed the instructions but the red alarm light is flashing and no "steady flow of water comes out of the wand". I...

Is it the red light flashing and the water button light also on? That means air in the system. If the flow of water is not steady, make sure water tank is fully push in.
The next thing you can check is the test mode which is not given in the manual.Hold down water button and switch on the machine, you will see the lights turning on alternately in anti clockwise direction. Release the button.Turn the dial to the right and press the coffee button, water pump will work.Turn on the steam/water knob and keep pressing the coffee button until all the air is purge out. Dial on other positions will test other components of the machine, such as grinder, solenoid valve , brew group, etc: I hope you can solve your problem with this information.

My Saeco Odea Giro has the element light permanently on (not flashing) and the strength light is set to 3, I cannot change it. I have tried descaling, cleaning etc. Any ideas?

The element light is saying it,s time to descale. Since you have done that you can remove it by holding down the water button for a few seconds until it goes off.The strenght light?.checked whether it is not sticking.

Saeco Odea Giro alarm light on all the time and temp light off

Hi,

Make sure everything is fitted in place, there are several sensors that can bring the lamp to light. I have not heard that the water sensor is gone on Odea machine.

Can the machine run the selftest and can you see any water come out?
