Where is the video card on my emachines t6211?

The Video card is intergrated on the board if it has failed you will have to install a new video card there should be some open slots on the motherboard. Tiger direct is a good place to buy but you pick one up a best buy or office depot.

Hi, can I use a Dell Silicon Image Orion ADD2-N DVI Video Card for my emachines T3508?

Your eMachines T3508 has one PCI-Express (PCI-E x16) slot available, so yes you can use this card with it (this video card for newer Pentium 4 motherboards with PCI-x slot).

We have an emachine w3400 and need and new video card but don't know if it is PCI standard or PCI express how do i find out?

The eMachines W3400 desktop computer has an MSI MS-7145 motherboard.
(MSI = Micro Star International, Inc)

This is the MSI MS-7145 motherboard,

http://www.e4allupgraders.info/dir1/motherboards/socket754/msi7145.shtml

The MSI MS-7145 motherboard, has one PCI Express x16 expansion slot, which is used for a graphics card.

Viewing the bottom left of the photo, you will see three white PCI slots.

Right above them is a longer white slot.
This is a PCI Express x16, expansion slot.

Scrolling down to the subheading - Expansion Slots,
You will see - One PCI Express 16x slot, listed.

Should you require information in installing a PCI Express graphics card, or information on which PCI Express graphics card may fit your needs, state so in a Comment.

EMachine T6522 monitor says

moz-screenshot.png6ef3415.gifHi there! Graphic card may be integrated with the motherboard or is separate. Look @ the above picture which you can see at the rear of your PC. It's where the monitor cable is connected to the CPU.
Now open your case & follow the card having the above picture.
Now remove screws securing the graphic card. You need to power off PC & remove cable from VGA card by loosening the blue/black screws securing the cable on the VGA card first.
CAUTION!!! Please most VGA cards are locked in the slot on its right. Hold the lock & pull out the card straight. Now take a brush & remove dust from the slot. Now using a student eraser or soft cloth & alcohol, clean the golden pins thoroughly.
Now revert steps & you are done!
Remember to send us your feedback & votes to motivate us. Thanks friend. Any further help just let us know!

There is no signal getting to from my computer to the monitor - Help... I have replaced the cord, but it did not work. The monitor is working fine as I hooked it up to another computer. Tries the opposite...

It is the video card!
So, when you plug the monitor in to the rear of the eMachine case, do you connect it in the aread where the keyboard mouse and USB and sound conntors are OR do you connect to the area when all the expansion slot covers are?

If you answered YES to the first part of the question, then the video signal comes from an 'integrated' video card that is part of the mainboard. This is bad. Contact eMachines in order todetermine if the system will allow a video card to be installed in an expansion slot...

If the second part of the quetion is YES, this is better. You can replace the video card andprobably be OK. Get you teenager to open up the case and pull out the video card. You need a new one but they come in multiple 'types' so you need some to have look at it and sell you another compatible one.

Trying to install a video card for my nephew. Nothing fancy. He has an emachines w3650 and has an EVGA geforce9600gt card. The card is pci-e 2.0 512ddr3. When we put the card in his case and start up...

The reason may be the card is not in the correct slot. PCI-E means PCI Express which is the fastest card availble. Its the smallest white slot on the motherboard. If it is not working or there is no "2 inch long slot" then the motherboard is not setup to handle that type of card architecture. The next brand you would look for is one that says only PCI or AGP.

Please rate this solution.
