I have seen this happen before with generic transfer rollers. I don't know where you got the parts from but that is most likely the cause. What is happening is the material of the transfer roller is sticking to the drum of the toner cartridge. When not actually printing the transfer roller sits up against the drum. If you still have the old "original" transfer roller, put it back in. You can try and clean the drum using glass cleaner and a soft cloth. Or just put in a new one. If you do not have the old transfer roller then al I can say is get an OEM HP transfer roller.
My experience with this issue comes from working for a service center that ordered a bunch of generic transfer rollers in an attempt to save money. We started having the same problem as you are having with numerous printers until we figured out what was happening. If it is the same problem you should be able to see the black bands across the drum surface and it will seem to be kind of sticky. Also the transfer roller might feel a bit "tacky" instead of being more like a foam type roller like the original ones are.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Hp 4015 printing line down leftside of paper

Most Lines down the page will be caused by the following:
1: The Drum of the all-in-one toner cartridge has a scratch on it.
Solution: Replace the cartridge.
2: The transfer roller is dirty. If you do not have a toner towel, use an unused coffee filter and lightly rub the transfer roller clean. DO NOT USE ANY LIQUID OF ANY KIND ON THE TRANSFER ROLLER!!!
If the line remains, consider replacing the transfer roller.
3: The Laser window has dirt on it and is blocking the laser from striking the drum at that spot. Clean the laser window with a clean unused coffee filter.

HP LAZERJET PRINTER 4200N. WHEN PRINTING, LEAVES INK MARK DOWN ONE SIDE OF PAGE.

you may need to poke down the absorber foams below the ink cartridges. See if accumulations of blotted ink takes place. Wipe it or spray some windex. You may also need to wipe the roller with dampened clothe. Printed of the ink cartridge ma also need to be clean. Softly press it in a towel moistened with alcohol to remove ink residue in the print head.

HP Laserjet 5P shading edges of page

This is probably due to a defective cartridge, Charge Roller or Transfer roller.

Check the cartridge for a band of toner still on the drum.

Check the Charge roller for oil or smudges, this roller should be a lighter color and should be relatively free of toner or marks.

Same as the Transfer Roll, which will be dark, though excess toner should be evident.

A relatively smooth straight line is generally the cartridge.

A rather wavey or broken line is most likely the rollers.

You can however attempt to print a large amount of pages (25-50) in an attempt to clean the parts, however if either part is defective they will need to be replaced and no manner of printing will clean them.

1320n marks along left side of paper

repetitive defects are caused by either a ding on the drum in the toner, a scratch or dirty transfer roller, or scratched or dirty heat roller in the fuser, Last but not least is dirty exit roller. the first step to any print quality defect is to cahnge the toner cartridge. Good Luck!

2 IN. GRAY AREA DOWN SIDE PAPER

There are several things that can cause this. A worn toner cartridge and/or transfer roller can cause vertical smears, but it may also be a worn fuser assembly. The teflon coating on the fixing (heat) roller wears off, and leaves vertical streaks of varying widths on the pages. Sometimes you may see "ghost" images on the pages for the same reason. Open the back door of the printer, and hold down the exit guide on the fuser (carefull, it may be very hot). There are two long rollers, the lower one is black, the upper roller is either grey or shiny brown. That's the teflon coating. See if it's peeled or damaged. If so, replace the fuser assembly.
