Question about Xante Accel-a-Writer Laser Printer

Open Question

I have an Xante Accel-a-writer 3g. Every time a file has been printed I get a blank 11 x17 sheet of paper and a 2nd 11 x 17 sheet with the follow: ERROR: timeout OFFENDING COMMAND: timeout Stack: It appears that it does not know the file has completed the printing and then it performs a timeout. I have the time out setting set at 300. Where do I start looking to fix the error. Thank you, Earl Neist Litho Printing & Graphics

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Time Out Error

This is from Xante's 3G Manual (downloadable via PDF)
"Printer Timeout The Timeout feature allows you to select the number of seconds the
printer waits for additional data before cancelling a job and returning
to the READY/IDLE state.
Set Timeout from the MISC:TIMEOUT configuration menu. The
factory default of 40 seconds (40 Sec) is an average setting. Set
timeout according to the type of files you send. Use a low setting for
small, simple files to prevent an indefinite tie-up on one job. Use the
300 or Never setting for large files, such as graphic intensive or CAD
(Computer Aided Design) files, to allow enough processing time.
With the NEVER selection, the printer does not timeout; it waits
until it receives additional data or until the printer is reset."

Xante 3G - indicates 'print' then constant 'front paper jam' (any size)

That is cause the paper feeder is not working properly. It could cause the roller that feed the paper wear out or a bad tray release selenoid

Wrinkling Laser Paper

Sounds like something is either wrong with the rollers, something is stuck in there or you are using the wrong type of paper.

I suggest you take a peek inside there and see if there is anything noticeably wrong inside. If not then look up what type of paper it needs.

Front paper jam

Always try to remove a paper jam without tearing the paper.
If torn, make sure no scraps of it are missing.
Lokk for any tiny scraps, esp stuck on paper path sensor.
