Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I download Cyberlink YouCam a few days ago thinking it was something else so now I want to uninstall it. I go to Add/Remove Programs and I click on Cyberlink YouCam and I click Remove and a box comes up that says "YouCam is preparing the InstallShield Wizard, which will guide you through the program setup process. Please wait" and then a bar loads a few times and then the box disappears and the program is still on my computer. It is the only program on my computer that will not uninstall. I tried a couple other programs that I don't use anymore and they uninstalled perfectly. But for some reason this program is being a problem. I googled ways to fix it but everything I have tried isn't working. I have to open YouCam every time I want to use my webcam and it is very annoying considering I don't even want to use the program, I just want it off my computer! Please help me! Thank you so much I appreciate it!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I have a compac CQ60 and the webcam has just stopped working on skype and also doesn't take pictures. what has happened?

You can try uninstalling the web cam driver , and reinstalling it back ..
Click on start > in start search type in device manager {(for vista) for xp right click on My computer > click on properties > then select hardware > device manager }.
In device manager look for something like imaging devices.
Please click on the + sign beside it .
Then right click on the web cam driver > and uninstall it .
then go to the following url and download the web cam driver from there.
http:\\hp.com > software and drivers.

Install the web cam driver . Restart the notebook .

I want to install cyberlink youcam, but there was a problem that i have already youcam now expired now when i want to uninstall that time said that to close youcam but i havn't open youcam

Hi,

There is no expiry date fro youcam software, as this is a free software provided by the manufacturer for additional use of Webcam's.

To uninstall YouCam, Download windows clean up utility:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

Install this utility to uninstall YouCam completely.

Now if you have the backup of Youcam, install it back. Else, try to download from the manufacturer. (Ex: HP, DELL etc)

Cyberlink provides a trial version:

http://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/trials/youcam/download_en_US.html

Enjoy !!!

Nags

Uninstall problem

The problem with a lot thes trial programs is they do not come with an uninstall program.
1) Download Revo and see if the program is listed on the software loaded on your computer. If it is - double click on it and uninstall in 'Advanced mode' choose to delete everything it finds in the follow - up scan
http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html

2) If Revo cannot find it, you will have to find where its installed itself and delete it manually.
Try Start > All Programs and search for it - if its listed - right click on the program and select 'Open file location' - this will show where the program is installed and you can delete it from there by right clicking it and selecting 'Delete'

Unable to install a new powerdvd version

I imagine that it's trying to uninstall the older version to install the newer one, which it can't. NOTE: This is a desperate step. Delete the Cyberlink folder in C:\Program Files\; Go to Add/Remove Programs and attempt uninstall - it will say it can't uninstall, and ask you if oyu want to remove it from the program list. Click yes. Go to start->Search (or Find) and search for Cyberlink (make sure that Hidden and System files are being searched). Delete all Cyberlink files. Do the same, but with PowerDVD. Download and run CCleaner. Attempt to reinstall PowerDVD.
